==BOSS: "Antithesis"==
The true final boss is a somewhat tall and lanky fellow who's dressed in shadowy black attire which obscures most of his body. This figure has an unknown connection to the plot and stands out from everything else in the game (which you'll definitely see in a moment), but he's the only thing standing in the way between Yumetarō and his girl. He only has one attack at this point, a wall of wind that moves away from him, but you can jump over it at the right distance. After he attacks, he will teleport to a different spot. The easiest to damage him is to wait until he teleports and does his wind attack. Stand fairly close to him when he reappears and jump over the wind attack as he uses it. And finally toss a star at him to do some damage.

After you hit him three times, he'll lose the mantle and horned helmet, unleashing that appears to be a lightsaber and revealing a vague outfit that may or may not come from a galaxy far, far away. He'll also become much more active and start a different battle strategy involving some slick ninja moves. His new attack is a volley of small white balls that home in on you, but they are easy to dodge. He will start jumping around as well, which makes it more difficult to damage him. The best way to damage him now is to wait until he jumps and toss a star at him when he lands. You likely won't be able to damage him any other way, as he gauges his distance and opportunity with you carefully. Keep away from him when possible and just toss stars when he lands. It takes five more hits to defeat him, and after a moment he'll explode into what looks like confetti.

If you did collect all of the special items in each of the stages with the same continue, a floating castle will descend on the land and become an available level. In contrast to the player's hard work getting here, it's actually a pretty simple level. Walk to the right and avoid the large white cloud-like enemies that resemble teeth and the sleeping feline Ohagi enemies. You can't jump onto the cat-like Ohagi enemies because their rolled-up spiky hair will damage you, unfortunately. Continue on where you'll find a few more enemies and stuff, and a tube on the far right.

Continue up the steps and enter the conveyor tubes ahead. Walk right two screens until you reach a large open room with several potions sitting around. You should grab the two Orange Medicine vials, but the lone Pink Medicine is too risky so it should be ignored. Jump up to the next room. Ignore the Ohagi cats inhabiting this area and just head left. Toss a star at the ones in your way to make them run away.

At the far left, an Ohagi cat will be waiting on small platform ahead. Get close and it will jump off and chase you. Just jump over it and continue upwards. Jump over the Ohagi cat on the cloud enemy ahead and continue on. Further ahead there will be a few more Ohagi cats and another cloud enemy, and you'll be at the final boss of the game.

Congrats. That's the end of the game, enjoy the real ending.

Ending 2

Yumetarō will start walking through the palace until he comes to a door. He finds the girl huddled up inside the room. He appears to her much like in the toy stance when they first met, and she picks him up and sweetly hugs him. A crystal orb in an unknown area starts to shatter, signifying either the gateway between worlds closing forever or the impending collapse of the palace (which has returned higher in the sky). They both run outside and jump into the portal, escaping into their home dimension. They end up back in the girl's bedroom and they look out the window. The credits roll over their view of the city at nighttime. Good night!
