I am planning on making this page a complete detailed record of every mask in Majora's Mask including their properties and a detailed account of how to get them. I plan on making the "How to Get" sections very detailed with somewhat of a small walkthrough on how to get each.

I also plan on including masks that you can't wear such as Majora's Mask and the boss remains masks.

Progress

Ok, I now have every mask listed on the page. Now comes the task of filling in all of the extra information and reformatting each mask further. I am planning on adding more headings to each mask such as "Prerequisites" and "Location" to try to organize and separate all of the information better. I will be working on this slowly one mask at a time. It may take a while to finish, but it should be a fairly detailed mask guide when it's finished. --louie55 02:50, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Hey, great job on this page; it's looking real good! - najzere 08:01, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Stalled

I have written the content for the first mask: the Deku Scrub. However, during the course of writing it, I discovered that the need of maps is high.

The way of thinking I am using when writing these descriptions on how to get the masks is I am assuming that the people reading it have never played the game before and, to go even further, that they have never played any Zelda game before. This means that when I say to go a certain place in my walkthroughs, they will not know what I'm talking about. There are 2 ways to fix this. First, I could explain in detail how to get to this place, or second, I could link them to a map. And, as we all know, a map is worth 10,000 words.

Therefore, in the interest of keeping each Mask's section as short as possible and saving myself a lot of typing, I have decided to divert my attention to creating the "Maps" page which currently is in the Table of Contents, but doesn't exist. I will draw the maps myself, therefore no copyrights will be infringed upon. Once I draw the map or maps I need to keep going on the Masks page, I will proceed with the Masks. --louie55 03:12, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Just keep in mind that the maps will need to be fairly high quality, so hand-drawn ones probably aren't going to cut it. If you don't have a way to capture video, the game may be popular enough that you can find shots of it on the internet. - najzere 06:58, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
I never meant I was going to hand draw them. I am going to draw them in a graphics program on the computer. Computer drawn maps will actually look better than a map from a screen shot since Nintendo 64 screen shots can be pretty grainy. I can't guarantee how "high quality" they are going to be until I try to make them. But right now the page doesn't even exist, so any map is better than nothing at all. If someone makes a better one in the future, they can replace mine. --louie55 16:22, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
