At the title screan, press

. This must be done before attract mode starts. When activated it opens a secret options menu which can change the difficulty, add more lives, and choose a starting level. There is also a sound test that includes most of the music from the game.
Auto Turtle select
At the turtle select screen, rapidly press and on the 
till the words Auto Select appear in upper right hand side. In this mode the computer will automatically select the player's turtle at random.
