Carnival Games (known in Europe as Carnival Funfair Games) is a video game for Nintendo's Wii console. It was published by Global Star Software, which is a division of Take-Two Interactive. On March 13, 2008 2K Play announced that the game had shipped over one million units. As a result of the original's success, a sequel for Wii was announced and will launch in the fall of 2008 titled Carnival Games: Mini-Golf.[1]


Gameplay

The game consists of various mini-games with a carnival theme, such as skee ball, Lucky Cups, Nerves of Steel, basketball, and horse racing These are set up through 5 different themed areas of the carnival. The player can win virtual prizes depending on their score. There are also many easter eggs in the game as well.


Reception

Compilation review site Metacritic calculated an aggregate score of 56/100 (27 reviews) for the game.[2] GameSpot awarded the game a 4.5 out of 10,[3] Nintendo Power gave it a 7 out of 10, IGN gave it a 6.5 out of 10,[4] and Gametrailers gave it a 7.3 out of 10.[5]
