Dead Rising is a multiformat series of action videogames published by Capcom, tracking the outbreak and spread of a zombie virus in the United States.
The original Dead Rising for the Xbox 360 took place entirely in a Colorado mall, and has been remade for the Wii as Dead Rising: Chop 'Til You Drop. A mobile phone version has also been released.
A full-blown sequel, taking place in a Las Vegas-style casino, was officially announced on February 9, 2009 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. No release date has been given as yet.
