Exile[edit]

The game begins as Logan is awoken from slumber by a royal maid and brought to his tutor, Elias, who lectures him about his habit of monster hunting, and reminds him of his upcoming coronation. He then tells you to wait while he gathers some scrolls for today's lessons. Defy him and wander off to chat with the locals, who will inform you that monsters are running rampant, as well as complain about Baron Drax's harsh rule. When you are done talking to the villagers, proceed to the front gate at the bottom of the map and try to leave town. The guards will stop you, but Logan will automatically go talk to his friend, Fergus, who will let you out a secret passage.

Field[edit]

Once outside town, feel free to walk around and get into battles. You start off with some basic equipment and the only enemies you'll run into are GreenSlimes, which are so weak they can't do any damage. As long as you don't enter the cave to the northeast, you'll be fine. Battle slimes until you get to at least Level 3. That may seem excessive, but once you reach Level 2, you'll start running into groups of GreenSlimes which will make the process much quicker. When you're done grinding, return to Exile.

Once you return, you'll get caught by Elias, who will lecture you and then send you to bed. Your rest will be quickly interrupted by the royal maid and Elias, who inform you that the town is under attack by monsters. Elias will give you high level equipment and usher you to a secret back door, telling you to go to Castle Sylvan to get reinforcements. Logan will automatically leave and travel to the Cave of Who.

Who Cave[edit]

Once in the cave, use one of the torches you conveniently have to light up your immediate surroundings. Then proceed forward up to the flock of Kowls and battle them. Your new equipment should make short work of them and any other enemies you encounter. In fact, you should fight every enemy group you come across on your way through the cave. You'll need the levels in order to be ready for the enemies you'll encounter once you reach Farlayne.

Northwest of the entrance you'll find a chest containing an Herb. The exit will be directly to the east. Once outside, proceed west until you reach Castle Sylvan.
