The easiest strategy is to have all djinn and have them set before the battle begins. once it starts summon all level 4 summons. The first turn he may use freeze prism and reduce most of your party to half or a little less then half HP. This is ok, just follow up with level 3 summons. one of your party members (most likely Ivan) may die on the second round so bringing water of life will help. By the time all of the level 3 summons are finished, Deadbeard should fall.
 
After the battle you can get the Demon Mail from the chest.
