An easy way to deal with the boss is to manipulate its movement. Start in the top-left corner and wait for it to come, then go to the bottom of the screen (you won't die if you touch the ground), near the middle, and wait for it to come again, then dodge left. Wait for it to open, then quickly move up to dodge the lasers, while your options take care of the core. It is important to wait for it to open, otherwise it will try to charge onto you. Repeat the process until it dies. If you have less than 3 options, it is unlikely that you will be able to damage it, and you should simply wait for the boss to time out.
