The Beginning[edit]
This very short section is just speech, an it is about newly recruited DC Baker meeting Deputy Commissioner Hagues and The Commissioner (nameless) for the first time. The Commissioner directs her to the Mystery Room and once she's left Hagues mentions that Layton could prove too unstable for a new recruit like Lucy. They then hint that something happened to him the past before it cuts to the case selection screen again. You just completed your first case.
