Peach's Castle

The Blorbs! Mushroom Kingdom Marred by Mystery Malady! The Blorbs! It comes without warning! First, you balloon up to blimp size! Then the rolling! You roll away! Oh, the horror of the blorbs! As of press time, the cause and cure are unknown... Day by day, the number of blorbed Toads swells... Seeing how grave the situation is, Princess Peach convenes an emergency meeting at her castle...

Peach calls on Starlow, a star sprite, to try and cure the blorbs. Unfortunately, the blorbs cannot be cured by even a star sprite. With the doctors stumped, Peach calls for Mario and Luigi.

After an action-icon refresher, you finally take control of Mario and Luigi. Head straight on into the next room where you can hit the ? blocks for coins. In the next room, hit the save block, then go to the right into the conference hall where you get to fight Bowser.

Bowser Battle

Bowser

  • HP: N/A (10 attacks, regardless of damage)
  • Attack: Bowser shoots a ball of fire. Jump to dodge.

This serves as a tutorial battle to learn the controls. It's impossible to lose because of the way it is set up. Toadsworth teaches you how to do more damage with your attacks and how to dodge Bowser's attacks as Mario. After the battle, Peach moves Bowser out of the castle.

Dimble Wood

This section is designed to teach you how to control Bowser in the field. Bowser wakes up here and Kamek tells you how to punch (X button and breathe fire (Y button). Just keep going southeast, destroying rocks and trees as needed. When you reach a field with Warp Pipes, a cutscene begins. Fawful, in disguise, gives Bowser a "Lucky Shroom", which causes him to start inhaling uncontrollably. He shows up at Princess Peach's castle and inhales the Mario Bros, Princess Peach, Toadsworth, and more before collapsing.
