Moved to main page[edit]

Now that MediaWiki does auto-minification, this has been moved to the main page. -- Prod (Talk) 01:13, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

Force preview before save[edit]

Hello! Where is the script that forces the user to preview before saving? I would like to implement a variant of that on DDOwiki.com... Thanks (Technical_13 (AKA ShoeMaker)) 141.114.96.62 13:48, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

It's mw:Extension:ForcePreview. -- Prod (talk) 14:15, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

Removing cruft[edit]

I was looking into splitting these into Gadgets so that they can be proper ResourceLoader modules, and I saw a lot of cruft that can be disabled/removed most likely:

  • the Collapsible tables bit mentions it's deprecated and replaced by core functionality (the mw-collapsible class), could we bot edit the old way into the core way and remove that js?
  • the dynamic navbars could probably also make use of mw-collapsible
  • are we using the google calendar/alexa graph things anymore? Can probably just nuke those entirely
  • AlphabetTOC could be made into a lua module since we have Scribunto installed, which puts the processing serverside before it's served, meaning no jarring visual "was a link, now not a link" shifts
  • We can likely nuke the winxp font rendering thing too since xp is no longer under support by MS -- may want to check stats on that first to see how many people are still hitting us via xp though

Everything else looks like it could be split into a Gadget though. --Skizzerz 18:06, 17 January 2016 (UTC)

I've resync'd with Wikipedia, so everything left is still maintained on their side (above Site-specific Common.js). We still need to update the following 3 scripts:
  • Featured template
  • Check upload categories
  • alphabetTOC link removal
