Plant Man is another Robot Master with a pretty straightforward stage, there are just a few things you need to be aware of before attempting it.
Plant Man is a Robot Master with a straightforward stage in the 'Forgotten Area' of a rainforest. While the latter part can present a challenge, Plant Man himself is easy, and the Rush Jet Adaptor is obtained from him. Springs and grass are the stage's main gimmicks. Springs in this stage are yellow and allow Mega Man to bounce higher when holding the jump button. Grass acts as cover, obscuring enemies and Mega Man's legs alike.

Twice in the stage you'll encounter a bulldozer mini-boss. This guy is vulnerable in the head, so shoot him there. If he gets too close to you, and you fear for your life, shoot him in the lower "hand" area. Your shots will bounce harmlessly off of him, but you'll push him back and keep yourself safe.
The beginning of the stage is a horizontal outdoors section. Two Heli Butons will ambush you by emerging from the trees to deal three points of damage on contact. They have two health points each, so any weapon can be used. Beyond them lies grass with a Batabattan. Their jumps can be slid under, but the window is relatively tight. They are destroyed in one hit, shoot them with the Mega Buster while they jump. Two more lie ahead on higher platforms, along with a block that can only be broken by the Rush Power Adaptor. Your reward will be a large health capsule and an extra life.

Jump up to the ladder and climb up. You will enter a room with a Power Slam. It has twelve health points, and attacks by thrusting diagonally up until it is above you, at which point it will power-slam downward. Slide under it, jump up to the higher platform and climb the ladder.

Twice in the stage you'll encounter a bulldozer gorilla mini-boss. This guy is vulnerable in the head, so shoot him there. If he gets too close to you, and you fear for your life, shoot him anywhere other than the head. Your shots will bounce harmlessly off of him, but you'll push him back and keep yourself safe.

Near the end of the stage, you'll have to traverse a spring-filled marshland with plenty of instant death situations. Dodge the robots that try to push you to your fate, returning fire when you can. While on the springs, holding the jump button will allow you to jump super high. Those flashing flower cores at the top of the screen are actually energy pellets, so jump up and grab some!

Plant Man is a joke of a boss. He's a carbon copy of Star Man from Mega Man 5, and he's even easier. He'll put on his shield, do a jump, and throw the shield at you, repeating this for the entire battle. He's only vulnerable when he's without the shield, so when he throws it, kill him with extreme cold from the Blizzard Attack.
Plant Man is not a hard boss. His patterns are very similar to those of Star Man, and he's even easier. He'll put on his shield, do a jump, and throw the shield at you, repeating this for the entire battle. He's only vulnerable when he's without the shield, so when he throws it, either use charged Mega Buster shots if this is your first stage, or kill him with extreme cold from the Blizzard Attack.

Victory gets you the Rush Jet.
Victory gets you Plant Barrier, and the Rush Jet Adaptor.
