The sequel to Meteos was released in February 2007 and developer Q Entertainment wanted to give it a twist. To appeal to younger audiences and seeing the potential for its simplicity, it signed a deal with Buena Vista and Disney to create a Meteos featuring Disney characters: Meteos: Disney Magic. The same basic gameplay as Meteos applies here but the blocks are now Disney characters and not aliens. This game is also played on its side and the top screen or the non-touch screen now features images and videos of classic Disney characters. Although never reaching the sales figures that the original did, it was still praised by critics.
