The stage begins with Octodad waking up in his bed. Walk over to the dresser, where you can find the alarm clock (it can be turned off by pressing the button top). Pull out the drawer on the bottom-left to find a tie (1/3). Walk past the living room and into the kitchen to complete the first objective. Upon entering, you should see a fireplace with a burning log. Pick up the log and place it into the sink for an achievement/trophy. You must now complete a typical morning task: make coffee. Place the carafe in the machine and grab the sack of powder off of the shelf. Pour it into the machine and press the button on its front to begin the process.
Stacey now wants milk. Open the fridge and grab the glowing jug of chocolate milk, then bring it to Stacy in the living room. Pour it into her cup to complete the objective. Back in the kitchen, Scarlet has Octodad's cup of coffee prepared. Grab it and bring it toward Octodad's face to make him drink it. He is now ready to step into the backyard, where the second, more laborious part of the stage begins.

Octodad must now begin grilling burgers. Take the cover off the grill and place a patty on it. It will brown and start to smoke, which is when you can take it off the grill and plate it. Repeat the process with the other two patties to finish preparing the food. After this, you'll have to do some garden work. Here, you can attempt to obtain an achievement/trophy that requires Octodad to weed Scarlet's garden without doing any damage to it. Reach for the dandelions and throw them into the yard, away from the garden, or over the fence. You'll have to step on the stone path in the middle of the garden in order to reach the weeds that are further in; carefully inch Octodad's legs along the path, and reload the checkpoint to retry if you do any damage to the garden.
After weeding the garden, pick up the gnome in the corner to find a tie (2/3) underneath it. For the next objective, search the shed for the lawn mower and run it over the patches of grass sticking up out of the otherwise flat ground. On top of the shed is tie (3/3), which you can reach by climbing onto the nearby slide and stretching Octodad's leg so that it latches onto the top of the shed; swing the rest of his weight over before he can fall off and grab the last tie of the stage.

The final task requires Octodad to chop some firewood in the corner of the yard. Swing the axe down on the piece of firewood already in place to chop it, then grab another from the pile and place it on the stump to do the same. Repeat the process until all firewood is chopped, after which the birdhouse hanging on a branch will drop to the ground. Here will be another achievement/trophy opportunity, requiring you to throw the birdhouse onto the branch so that Octodad gets sucked into the riding mower immediately in the subsequent scene (take note that this will lock you out of the Number 1 Dad achievement on Steam and Xbox). Like throwing the ring onto Scarlet's finger in Wedding Bells, this is a tricky task, and may require a good deal of practice. Achievement/trophy aside, place the birdhouse on the branch to survive and Octodad will hang onto it. Knock the gnomes into the riding mower with Octodad's limbs to survive.
