Pokémon Channel is a game where you help Professor Oak with a new Pokémon television channel that he is putting together. You spend your time watching television, playing interactive quizzes, shopping for items, and exploring the world outside. You also get your very own Pikachu to interact with, which tends to be quite interesting.
Pokémon Channel is one of the few games that takes advantage of the Nintendo e-Reader and various e-Reader cards.
The Story
Here is the story as it's described in the instruction manual:
- Pokémon Channel is a TV-broadcasting network that airs a variety of Pokémon programs. You have been selected as part of the initial test audience!
- Please send me your REPORT on Pokémon Channel after you have viewed the programs on offer!
- Here at Pokémon Channel, we are collating viewer feedback to make our programming more appealing to everyone, even Pokémon.
- So sit back with Pikachu and enjoy our programming. Oh, and please don't forget to check back in and report to me so I know what you think!
- Your feedback will determine the success of our new TV-broadcasting network. I'm counting on you!

Channels
A few channels become available as soon as you start the game, and more will be given to you as to progress through the game. A few channels can only be unlocked by using the Nintendo e-Reader.
Anime part 1
Part 1 of the anime 'Pichu Bros. in Party Panic'.
Anime part 2
Part 2 of the anime 'Pichu Bros. in Party Panic'.
Anime part 3
Part 3 of the anime 'Pichu Bros. in Party Panic'.
Anime part 4
Part 4 of the anime 'Pichu Bros. in Party Panic'.
Anime part 5
Part 5 of the anime 'Pichu Bros. in Party Panic'.
Art channel
You can find various art pieces, including your own, featured on this channel.
Egg channel
You will be presented with an egg that's just about to hatch. Your task is to guess what Pokémon is in the egg. Guess correctly to win money.
Fitness channel
Watch as Smoochum goes through a rigorous set of exercises. Pikachu will also take part in these exercises from time to time.
Fortune channel
You will be presented with a selection of fortune cookies to choose from. Pick one, and recieve your fortune.

You can watch the 'Pichu Bros.' anime all over again, except this time it's narrated in Japanese (by Misty's Japanese voice actor).
News channel
Psyduck goes over all the latest news in the Pokémon world, along with special reports from other Pokémon, including Meowth.
Quiz channel 1
This channel features an interactive game show where you can earn money, and watch other Pokémon compete for first place. At certain points during the show, one of the various quiz games available will be presented to you, and you must use the cursor to touch the the answer on the television screen.
Quiz channel 2
This second channel features another way to earn yourself some money. Many Oddish will begin to dance around the screen, your job is to guess whether the final total of on-screen Pokémon will be odd or even.
Ranking channel
In this channel, Smoochum will go over various random polls and surveys about anything.
Relaxation channel
Mareep will jump over a fence. That's basically it.
Report channel
To progress through the game, you'll have to send reports to Professor Oak. This is also how you save your game.
Shopping channel
Here in the Shopping Channel, you can purchase all kinds of items to add to your room, or to any of your collections. You need to earn money from other various tasks in order to have enough to purchase items from this channel.
Weather channel
Find out today's weather report from Slowpoke. The weather affects what and where certain Pokémon appear.
Jirachi
Jirachi appears in the European version of Pokémon Channel after the player has watched all five anime episodes. Jirachi arrives at the back door of the house, upon which Professor Oak asks if you would like to keep it by downloading the Jirachi to a Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire GBA cartridge. The Jirachi is only downloadable if you have previously completed Ruby/Sapphire.
