Space - Glory through Conquest (also known simply as Space) is a browser based strategy game featuring a JavaScript based map. Unfortunately it only has official support for Internet Explorer (Opera can also be used, though a few non-critical features still only work in IE). The Map allows you to see you and your allies territories in near real-time. Like most browser based strategy games, Space is turn-based with each turn lasting one hour.

When a player creates an account they are put into a new, yet to start, galaxy. Once the galaxy is full ( roughly 600 players ) the game begins, ensuring the impossibility of starting late in an already established game. Players take control of a planet and a few ships and through production, research, and diplomacy players expand their empire. Through both formal alliances (4 member max.) and informal greater alliances (groups of alliances linked by Non-Aggression Pacts and player diplomacy) players attempt to create the largest empire in the galaxy.

Space allows the user to pick from a group of different races with different abilities and problems alike. Players have the ability to name their planets, and design and build all types of different ships. Each race has a unique set of bonuses such as faster ships or greater population growth, as well as a unique ship.

Space: Glory through Conquest was created by Coldfire Studios.
