Spelunker II is arcade game developed by Irem and distributed to Japanese arcades in 1986. The subtitle of the game is 23の鍵 or 23 Keys. It is a follow up to the arcade conversion of the original Spelunker game. It contains virtually the same play mechanics as the first game, with original caverns to explore and new treasures to find. The game was only released in Japan, and this particular version of Spelunker was not converted for play on any home console. The Famicom also received a sequel to the original Spelunker, but it is an entirely different game, entitled Spelunker II: Yuushahe no Chousen.
