Revolution is still a codename and might change + The official codename is Nintendo Revolution. --BMH 10:19, 9 January 2006 (PST)

Resolution

About resolution, is that really necessary? Resolution only really matters for HDTV supported games at the moment and is supported by less than 50 games. I think if you want to include resolution, you should do it in the game page for now? -Mr Saeba 19:03, 9 January 2006 (PST)

  • Its absolutely not necessary, just as Services is not necessary, and Number of players. Those are bits of information that you can include with the game, but not ones to categorize them by. --Hack 19:49, 9 January 2006 (PST)

Series Category?

Could we also make categories for series of games? A category of Final Fantasy games, Castlevania games, Contra games, and so on? Koweja 21:31, 16 July 2006 (CDT)

I definitely see no problem with this! It would be useful in navigating some of the larger series easily. echelon 23:49, 16 July 2006 (CDT)
Yeah, sounds good. Of course the next thing is whether or not to include "series" in the category name... GarrettTalk 23:56, 16 July 2006 (CDT)
Putting "series" in the category would be redundant, as far as I see it. We could eliminate some of our disambiguation pages through such categories. --DrBob (Talk) 00:13, 17 July 2006 (CDT)
Okay, it is done. My brain hurts. Category:Series has all games that are part of a series. I think. Koweja 23:04, 17 July 2006 (CDT)
You forgot Half-Life. :-P Good job. --DrBob (Talk) 01:47, 18 July 2006 (CDT)

Weird CSS/Div issue

I was trying to change the Genre layout to use CSS-positioned <div>s, but it went all screwy when I submitted it, despite looking perfectly fine in the Preview.

If somebody can look at the code I used and tell me what went wrong, it'd be appreciated; here's what I used. It's exactly the same as what I did for my Shenmue and Eternal Arcadia ToC pages.

  • Action - GTA, third person shooters, etc.
  • Adventure - Zelda, etc.
  • Fighting - Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, etc.
  • FPS - first person shooter: Halo, Unreal, Quake, etc.
  • MMOG - massively multiplayer online game: Everquest, World of Warcraft, etc.
  • Music - Dance Dance Revolution, Guitar Hero, Rez, etc.
  • Platform - Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros., etc.
  • Puzzle - Tetris, etc.
  • Racing - Mario Kart, Gran Turismo, etc.
  • RPG - Final Fantasy, etc.
  • RTS - real time strategy games: Starcraft, etc.
  • Simulation - Animal Crossing, The Sims, etc.
  • Sports - Madden, etc.
  • Strategy - turn-based strategy games: Final Fantasy Tactics, etc.

You didn't have the {{-}} which caused the floating divs to allow the sections to kind of overwrite them. I fixed it and it works good now :). Thanks for the change though. -- Mason11987 (Talk - Contributions) 14:21, 24 August 2006 (CDT)
