External images

At the moment even registerd users can't upload images onto this wiki so we have to resort using external links. But how do u show external images I tried various things but couldn't get it to work. Check Frontliner for the page I tried to use it on.

Hi... i'm also learning how to edit wiki, forgive me if i ever screw something. xD

I use to do a little bit of coding here and there and work as a game tester in a game testing facility.

You really need to tell how you put the articles at the bottom of the page >< I feel like I'm giving you work.

you add the [[Category:]] code to the page you want to be at the bottom...look in the template codes, you'll see them there.

Proposal for a new Main Page

hopefully someone reads this...please look at my Sandbox and tell me what you think, the colours can be tweaked, I don't really like the colours myself atm...any suggestions are welcome! Ill be willing to create all those new pages and fix up the current ones to suit the new Main Page.

i'll take that as a "sweet ill put it up right now!", im working on cropping pictures of weapons+ their stats, ill finish that up by the end of the day. hopefully ill finish uploading as well as making a page for all weapons and armour

very nice database...ill have much less work to do for all the Armour Pages here, I noticed for the weapon stats(overheat, damage etc.) you took pretty much the same approach as me and counted the pixels, though I personally think it's best to have them as percentages as not everyone will know that the most possible damage would be 72 for example.
And as for the info from the wikipedia page, ill be sure to update it when I make sure I have all the right info written down on my amazingly high-tech piece of scrap paper :P

1024 X 768, im pretty sure most people use that res, though it really should go higher :S

Hmmm... Myscreenshots and my Exteel are in the same resolution, 1280 x 1024. Did you verify your Exteel resolution?

My screenshots are taken in window mode, my screen is in 1600X1200 and my game is in 1280X1024.
I then paste the fresh print screen in mspaint to remove my left screen desktop and all the unwanted stuff of my game screen.
I select what i want in mspaint and copy-paste it in photoshop because paint really suck at saving jpegs.

for future reference no matter what your in-game resolution is set at screenshots of the lobby/store/hanger screens are always 1024X768, the resolution option is just for when you're actually in a match or w/e

Dialects

I strongly suggest rather than using "Armor" or "Armour", you use "Mechanaught [parts]". It sounds better and is more distinct. 69.182.118.139 00:00, 8 January 2008 (CET)

it's pronounced the same way, "armor" is the american spelling. You have to keep in mind that Exteel is an international game.

I think I will rename the pages to Mechanaughts, because it isn't really armour at all, it's an entirely different bot.

Cool. I made the weapon stats calculate round(stat/72*100), so it should be easier to add new weapons when I add them to my DB. MK 04:24, 10 January 2008 (CET)

I was just wondering if anyone desired for this site to be here. Like any site, without support, it could fail. I want this site to work out because I play Exteel. If those that are capable of updating this site could please do so, I know that there are many people that would be greatly appreciative. Site rearrangement

Well, I'm going to be making some major changes to the organization of the pages on the site. Rather than having separate pages for each of the cores, boosters, weapons, etc., I'm going to start merging them to single pages in a table format. This should help make it easier to compare their relative strengths and weaknesses. I will start with the page since it's the smallest, and maybe one of the weapon pages tomorrow.
