::::You've done a great job finding them. ^_^ But I figure that we could (and probably should) use the same colors on both text and backgrounds. -- Imjon 04:59, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

:::::Well, I added a second column to the color table with the new ones, and I think they look all right, except the Sentinel/Ability color is now orange instead of yellow. I wish we could use the original yellow for text, but it's just too light against the white background (the game doesn't have this problem because they put a black outline around the letters). I'm okay with changing the other backgrounds, but I think we should stick to a yellow background and use the orange just for the text where it's less noticeable but still gives good readability. Why do you think we should use the same colors for both, by the way? They're mainly handled through templates, so consistency shouldn't be a problem, if that is your concern. — <span style="color:#909090">najzere</span><span style="color:#993300">T</span> 05:55, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

:::::::The first "Considered" Sentinel also looks alright as text and background. And I'm not sure why I think that the text and background colors should be the same. I just like consistent colors throughout the guide, I suppose. But if you think it'll be alright otherwise, then that's cool. -- Imjon 18:43, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

Revision as of 18:43, 21 April 2010

Colors

Commando/Strength #e38085 #e38085
Ravager #9392d6 #9392d6
Medic/HP #80db7b #32cd32
Sentinel/Ability #fbf16b #eec900
Saboteur/Role Level #b0b0b0 #9e9e9e
Synergist/Magic #b363f8 #b363f8

I'm trying to find accurate colors based on the game. What I have here are the hex codes based on high quality screenshots from the colors in the role names. If anyone knows of a better way to get the right colors, post it here. Or if you have other ideas. :) Just trying to use the same colors throughout the guide. The good thing about these particular ones is black text works on all of them. :P — najzereT 18:59, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

Update: I modified some of the colors for the template so they'd show up better against the standard white background. Here are the changes:
 • Commando/Strength: Same
 • Ravager: Same
 • Medic/HP: Normal
 • Medic/HP: New
 • Sentinel/Ability: Normal
 • Sentinel/Ability: Considered
 • Sentinel/Ability: Considered
 • Sentinel/Ability: New
 • Saboteur/Role Level: Normal
 • Saboteur/Role Level: New
 • Synergist/Magic: Same
And here's what it looks like: Diversity (COM RAV MED) and Premeditation (SEN SAB SYN). Like always, let me know if you want to change anything. — najzereT 04:12, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
I think New colors you found fit perfectly. I tested them in Final Fantasy XIII/Paradigms and they look fine as background colors as well. -- Imjon 04:29, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
Oh yeah? I would like them to be as close to the in-game colors as possible, which is where the original colors came from. I just needed some slightly darker ones for the Paradigm template so people don't go blind trying to read it. :P You think the backgrounds need to be changed as well? — najzereT 04:37, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
