Subpages?

Is there a particular reason that this Wiki prefers subpages to using heading breaks? I use Wikipedia a lot and having to make a subpage for any particular section of a guide seems a little odd to me. MichaelAB 22:50, 22 May 2007 (CDT)

Yes, we have a template called the {{All Game Nav}}, this uses sub pages to put the table of contents on every page, just click on the show button, and if we didn't have sub-pages then it would be annoying specifying the Table Of Contents--Rocky http://media.strategywiki.org/images/thumb/7/78/Rally-X_Rock.png/25px-Rally-X_Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 00:52, 23 May 2007 (CDT)

To-Do

Here are a couple of things I am going to try to do.

  1. Try to make a character template to use for all of the character pages.
  2. I want to put in details about the special item locations (mission discs and sketch books)
  3. Also, I am going to try to break down the gestures used in for each power in the Wii version. (Save your self. Don't buy that version. The gesture system is annoying.)

Anyone have any other ideas? MichaelAB 23:10, 22 May 2007 (CDT)

I'm completely unfamiliar with the game, but could those gestures possibly be represented visually? We have numerous templates that are meant to replace the use of words or phrases such as "press the A button" with "press A button". If you could figure out how to make generic gestures of the few here, please upload them (try to keep them 24x24 if at all possible) and categorise them appropriately. I'll add them to {{Wii}} for future use for other games as well (since other games use gestures as well, which is why I would like them to be generic. For example, instead of an image with a foot and a Wiimote being thrusted forward to represent a kick, just have the Wiimote being thrusted forward). As for the character template, using {{prettytable}} may be helpful. Also, unless you are going to have a LOT of info on each character, just put them all on a central character page (Game/Characters). Unlockable characters can follow the spoilers template (make sure it has the "s" at the end, spoilers and spoiler are NOT the same). --Ryan SchmidtTalk - Contribs 15:14, 23 May 2007 (CDT)
