I tried fixing Special:MultipleUpload, but even CSS didn't hide the edittools at the bottom for me, so I just reverted my changes to let you (or someone else) have a go at another method. As for the blacklist, you may want to set a few people with the "uboverride" right so they can create blacklisted accounts upon request if there is a good reason for it. As for blocking everybody... yeah, that might be a problem. You could put in a comment (a line starting with #) of regexs NOT to use. -- 11:04, 1 September 2007 (CDT)

While the new user log is kinda neat, it doesn't seem to be of much use to us.  Because we aren't welcoming new users until they've actually made a contribution, the log doesn't serve much purpose that I can see.  It just clutters up the recent changes list.  Is there a setting where I can turn that off?--<font color="blue">Duke</font><font color="red">Ruckley</font> 21:43, 2 September 2007 (CDT)

:Same here Ech.  BTW, we tried to replace the "Donate" text with the Paypal icon that Skizzerz put on the Donation page, but it didn't work.  That nav bar obviously needs some tweaking to allow images to appear in there, but I think it would be worthwhile if it's possible.  If it can be done, it should be positioned below "Help".  As for attracting new traffic, Duke and I came up with a funny campaign slogan: "What the FAQ? www.strategywiki.org" :) Procyon (Talk) 09:19, 4 September 2007 (CDT)

Echelon,
Echelon,

I am trying to rememberAre you the big boss here?
Okay...Prod says you are da man.  I wanted to run something by youI don't know how to do it more privately or if it should be private.

Thanks...Karl
In the past I have provided guides that are nowhere else on the internet to your site, literally months of work devoted to this, and now I have gone ahead and created my own fledgling, baby web site.  I would like to continue contributing to your website, but when I do contribute, not to be self-centered, but I would like to put "Contributed by CNCGuides.com"

If you don't feel that is a format you would like to deal with I understand, but I seem to remember that in the past I read that if something is taken from somewhere else, you should give credit to that resource.  This will be a contribution from my website.

Whatever you decide, that's fine.  It just seems we have some of the same interests, which is a good thing, and I appreciate your thoughtfulness in letting me express myself on the web as I see is beneficial and fulfilling for everyone involved.

Thanks and best wishes to you... Karlcsr

: Hey Karl. If your guides from another site were made freely available (free as in freedom) and are anywhere on this website, then you absolutely have a right to put a link on the guide. I would suggest putting it on the bottom of the main guide page where it is visible above any other external links, or perhaps as the kind of template we use for "Wikipedia has more on...". In fact, a template might be a good idea for this. I'll talk with Prod again, and I suggest that you join us at our meeting this weekend so that we can address this in a way where you not only get credited, but you get credited in a fitting way. <br />
:Thanks for working on C&C for us! <span style="border: 1px solid #888; padding: 1px">echelontalk</span> 14:12, 4 April 2008 (CDT)

Echelon,

First and foremost, thanks for allowing me to do this.  I truly appreciate it!

I am not sure how and when to join the meeting, but what I might do is try to figure out how to put a link and put it in.  From there, Prod I am confident will review it and make any improvements or changes he feels are necessary.

Thanks again...Karl

I'm beginning to get pissed off. No matter what browser I use whether its Firefox or Safari, I cannot join the ABXY forums. Is there any solution for this? Lunar Knight (Talk to me + Contribs) 11:25, 6 April 2008 (CDT)

stratawiki.com
Hi Echelon. About 1 year ago I registered the domain stratawiki.com with the intent to create the exact site that you have: a wiki devoted to gaming strategy and walkthroughs (basically a wikified GameFAQs). At the time I didn't know about strategywiki.org, but saw that there was a need for such a site. I'm happy to see that someone was able to follow through to create one.

Would you and the other admins like to own the stratawiki.com domain? I happened to have just renewed it through April of 2009, and I don't plan on renewing it again. If the Strategy Wiki crew is interested, I'll transfer it to you for free (assuming you cover any transfer/registration fees); otherwise I'll just let it expire next year.

Contact Email
Hi Echelon,

Is there any way I can get in touch with you via email?  I tried emailing your echelon@gmail.com account and I think you haven't gotten my mail yet.

If you could, email me at bluespire@gmail.com.  Thanks! 154.5.60.145

Broken Page
Some of the pages are broken when you are not signed in. For example, on Maple Story if you go to the Jobs or the Thief page when you're logged out it will give you a MySQL DB error and show a bunch of queries. If you log in it works properly.

Also, if someone would like to show me how to use the show/hide feature so that I can include the DB error, that'd be great. --Deny360 14:10, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Sorry for all the crap.
Yes, I put the by-line in the wrong place.  I told Garrett it was probably a misunderstanding and then I apologized for my stridency.

And I was right.  It was a misunderstanding.  I put the by-line on a MINOR page instead of a MAJOR page.

When Procyron started interrogating me on the timing of my contributions, I decided I didn't want to be interrogated and I was going to leave the site instead of being interrogated, and, yes, I told Procyron what I thought of all of the interference I have received.

It was the same attitude I have always gotten, and the fact I was correct about his attitude is made clear in his latest posts about how I am such an immature person for wanting a by-line.

After countless back-and-forth issues with I may unkindly call the "bureacracy" just to get it where my friends could find my posts on here, I was somewhat tired of the hassle even before today.

When Procyron started interrogating me on my by-line, I decided to leave Strategywiki.

With my go away message, I got multiple responses of what an ASS I was...the entire section was titled what an ASS I was, everyone jumped on the band wagon.

Even after all of that, I just was going to fade away.

But the insults kept coming and coming and coming.

After each insult, it's like, okay, all of these folks are insulting me and they get to keep my contributions -- fine.

And they wouldn't stop.  I was just saying "bye" and they couldn't get in enough jabs and insults to me.

Time after time, it's like okay, they got in a good parting shot.  So be it.

So be it.

So be it.

And finally it's like, okay, I have been insulted enough, I guess maybe I should take advantage of Procyron's offer just to delete all of my contributions.  It's his idea.

So please delete all of my contributions.  This is not a knee-jerk reaction.  This is a reaction after I have been offended time after time after time.

I am sorry.  I just wanted to fade away and say why I was offended.  I guess I was an "ass" to be offended.  And everyone just had too much fun with me in the process.

Best wishes to you, not that you will need it.
