Specialized Terms

Hey Naruto, whenever using specialized terms, such as acronyms (KB) please make sure there is a link to the page that contains a description of said term (you only need to do this for isolated references or the first reference of a section. Just make sure there is one nearby so readers that aren't as close to the community's jargon can still quickly understand what you mean. Thanks. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 01:57, 28 August 2007 (CDT)

Cleric's Builds

I know that Holy Arrow isn't exactly useless. My girlfriend's character is a cleric, and my brother is one of the highest level priests in Khaini. She has maxed Holy Arrow in second job, and my brother maxed it at the end of 3rd. But there are literally ZERO clerics who train regularly on monsters that are weak to holy and not weak to heal. It's impractical. The only monsters a cleric trains on would be undead monsters, like Wraiths, Zombie Lupins, Zombies and later Grim Phantom Watches. And while these may very well be weak to holy, heal is a more efficient attack as it hits several targets at once and does comparable damage. Holy arrow is a very hotly debated topic amongst clerics. I guess it's similar to Arrow Blow and Double Shot for archers. KB might be important, but generally undead monsters don't have very high KB values.

Honestly, I think that guide needs a complete rewrite. In fact, I'd say all 3 of the other jobs (I already rewrote the Archer's guide) would need this. Unfortunately while I even have mid level Warriors and clerics myself, I don't know enough about these jobs to write a better guide. So, don't worry about it too much... It'll probably get erased and redone soon.--IsaacGS 01:11, 29 August 2007 (CDT)

It looks good, but I don't know much about clerics. If you can clean up all the "I" and discussion about your self in the first person, then that would be great for here. since you wrote it you're free to post it where ever you like. You can try changing parts of it to like "In JezzaRules' Experience, it is better to go to ***** monster at ** level" rather than "I think you should go to ****** at level **." that would make it fit better here. (In regards to your user page, I can 100% guarantee you GMS's next patch will be a masteria expansion. Can't say anything more about it though.)--IsaacGS 22:00, 21 June 2008 (CDT)
I just quickly looked at it, but you should be able to add some of those suggestions into the guide we have. -- Prod (Talk) 01:20, 22 June 2008 (CDT)

Adding Pictures to Articles

On the left side of your screen you should see a link called Upload file, click that and hit browse to find the file you want to upload. Ensure to place the proper image category in the summary of the upload and ensure it follows the guidelines for images.

Once your image(s) are uploaded, navigate to the article you wish to place them on and paste the filename into the article. For example if you uploaded Bubble Bobble Floor 94.jpg you would paste [[Image:Bubble Bobble Floor 94.jpg|thumb|Insert description here]] Incidentally that kind of image would go in Category:Screenshots. You can substitute thumb|Insert description here with left or right depending on which alignment you want. Hope this helps, if you have further questions after this and reading the appropriate documentation please don't hesitate to ask. --CharitwoTalk 00:25, 4 September 2007 (CDT)

Amoria

Amoria is in Victoria island, per the initial release's description, located near Henesys. That's also why the ground looks like Henesys' and the monsters look like other kinds of monsters in Victoria (like the Indigo eyes, "eye" monsters are common on Victoria, as are boars.)--IsaacGS 11:50, 7 September 2007 (CDT)

Bob

you have to go hunt the Green Snail found at Drake's Meal Table. Unfortunately, it only spawns once every 12 hours. I haven't had a chance to do most of it yet because of the rarity of the item so I'm not sure on the details, but there's around 8 quests related to this.--IsaacGS 01:03, 20 September 2007 (CDT)

Fruit Milk

It makes a fun prank gift. I gave one to my friend and told her to go to Showa with it, so she DCed. xD Really though, right now it's either a sign we will get Showa town, or an oversight that will be removed. The Mushroom Shrine milk isn't exactly useful when it's the only town there. Considering the fact that only JMS has Ludi Maze, that means that at least one person at Nexon America can translate Japanese to English, so it could be that this one guy has to translate everything and it's taking him a long time. Who knows, it's anyone's guess really, that's just what I think.--IsaacGS 11:44, 21 September 2007 (CDT)

NLC

lol no. It's from investigation in the data. There's an item that says "Key to the Pharaoh's Gate", another one for "Foxwit's Den", there's a map object that was added to that secret Badlands map which is named "Dragon Door", and another item which says, "leads to the inner sanctum of the Dragon Ninja Clan." The Theme park, I found backgrounds in the data. Versal was mentioned by several NPCs there. I combined these with strategically asked questions answered by NxProse at the Nexon forums, and come up with a big list of expansions. "Crimsonwood Keep" has a sign in the data, just like the ones for Bigger Ben, etc. so that was obvious.--IsaacGS 20:57, 22 September 2007 (CDT)

Not in game, just in the data. I expect that it will turn out to be this halloween town so it may be in game for the next patch.--IsaacGS 11:31, 3 October 2007 (CDT)
They're related to Christopher Crimsonheart boss, but NxProse said it is for a riddle which can't be answered yet.--IsaacGS 19:39, 6 October 2007 (CDT)
The Badlands map is no longer accessible, but it was via the method you described during the first NLC patch (.40) Some people left their characters there (which are now stranded until the area is officially released.) and in the next patch, .41, there was a giant Dragon's Door there. Dragon's Door leads to the inner sanctum of the Dragon Ninja Clan, presumably. --IsaacGS 09:01, 25 October 2007 (CDT)

Magatia PQ

Yes I'm sure. Currently, none of the extractors work on KoreanMS data, so we can't look at the monster stats. So, we have to wait for another version to get the newest town before we can add the info on them. The info that's listed right now came from a popular Korean Fan site, insoya.com. I talked about this on the Talk:MapleStory Page, but there's currently at least 3 monsters from Magatia that we have no information on here. If you still don't believe me, there's a picture of the boss at the bottom of this page: http://insoya.com/bbs/zboard.php?id=bbs12&page=1&sn1=&divpage=1&sn=off&ss=on&sc=on&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=222 If you don't have Korean character set installed that page is gonna be rather painful to look at, but near the bottom you can see the Green Frankenstein monster, which is the boss of that PQ. On top of all this, I also play KMS so I'm positive. :P--IsaacGS 11:58, 28 September 2007 (CDT)

When you leave a message on someone's talk page, and there's already a heading for that topic, you can click "edit" for just that section and that way my page doesn't get too crowded.--IsaacGS 21:08, 28 September 2007 (CDT)

patch

probably next week, and it will likely contain the halloween area.--IsaacGS 21:47, 4 October 2007 (CDT)

Not totally worthless, there's a load of new quests, equipment, items, potions, etc. that will change things (100 Accuracy potion. O_O) Also the boss. plus once the month of October is over, the mansion will be open to everyone. Despite the need of Nx items to enter, it's very cool inside and has a good storyline. No way to know when the UI upgrades will be coming though.--IsaacGS 02:41, 12 October 2007 (CDT)
This patch will probably end the first week of November. They didn't put many CS items in this patch, and almost all of them were released on Thursday. Inside the mansion, it's very good looking. It's very confusing to navigate at first. There's 4 versions of every room in the mansion: Rightside up, facing to the left; Rightside up, facing to the right; Upside down, facing to the left; and Upside down facing to the right. Each orientation has a different monster spawn, so by entering the room from different directions you can change it. There's a lot of quests that take place in a very linear storyline. Most are easy, but some are quite difficult. The best monsters here are the Hoodoo and Voodoo, but most of the others (if you know what you're doing) could potentially yield good EXP.--IsaacGS 19:36, 12 October 2007 (CDT)
No real clues to speak of... There are some unimplemented NLC quests in the data, and several cool looking weapons associated with that quest, which may be indicative of an NLC expansion coming up, but it may or may not be in the next patch. I would also expect some conclusion to the Bob the Snail series of quests, it's rather cruel to leave us hanging like this (and Bob is wasting my inventory space!) As for MSEA, there will probably be a low or no content patch in November, and then 4th jobs for December.--IsaacGS 11:56, 19 October 2007 (CDT)
patch added nothing at all.--IsaacGS 17:23, 25 October 2007 (CDT)
It fixed a few things, like the Jr. Reaper's commands (none worked below level 10, making it impossible to level up.) and that Scythe CS staff... Apparently there's some secret Amoria tiles that were improperly added, and the Glimmer Man card game quest was activated. The text in the quest hints to NLC expansions in the next patch.--IsaacGS 01:21, 26 October 2007 (CDT)
More than likely this is gonna be another nothing patch. It may unlock the Mansion to non-NX players and add some more TCG stuff, but 2 hours isn't enough time to add anything substantial at all.--IsaacGS 11:40, 31 October 2007 (CDT)

"Secret Coke Stock solution"?

I don't think that's what it's called. O_o--IsaacGS 01:42, 7 October 2007 (CDT)

I looked at the page History, I think it is just a bad translation. I'll see what it's called in MSEA.--IsaacGS 01:49, 7 October 2007 (CDT)

pirates!

http://www.sleepywood.net/forum/showthread.php?1326791 read that ridiculously long thread. I think the job advance is at 10 though I'm not positive. there's two different kinds, Infighters (melee, fight with fists) and Gunslingers (ranged, guns.)--IsaacGS 01:28, 8 October 2007 (CDT)

It's not out in official KMS yet, only the Test Server. Also, the skills could change (Since it is only the test server, they are still "testing" them out.) So until at least the first job for them is released in official KMS, I can't know much. I did get two characters set up with stats suitable for each kind of pirate already though.--IsaacGS 02:36, 10 October 2007 (CDT)

HKMS and other stuff

I didn't do the HongKong stuff, you'll have to look over the page's history to check that out. And never believe stuff from Basil... It's notorious for being wrong.--IsaacGS 20:09, 13 October 2007 (CDT)

Re:Hi

Currently, I'm a level 94 Ranger in GMS, have a 4x Spearman, a 3x cleric, 2x Fighter and a few other mules. In JMS I have a 3x Hunter, in KMS 23 Bandit (for darksight exploring.) and two level 1 characters with stats set to be pirates. In MSEA I just have two 1x characters for exploring, one's stuck in Singapore and the other is stuck in Peach Blossom Island (yeah, after they removed it.)--IsaacGS 18:20, 21 October 2007 (CDT)

I have no idea what's coming in the next patch, and sleepywood is about 10,000 times more trustworthy than basil.--IsaacGS 00:35, 25 October 2007 (CDT)
Cause no one knows anything about the patch as a fact yet. Everything everywhere is 100% speculation.--IsaacGS 00:59, 25 October 2007 (CDT)

4th

no way to know.--IsaacGS 11:31, 19 November 2007 (CST)

It's a 4th job related PQ used to get some skills (like an Archer's dragon pulse). Basically, you have to protect Tylus, warrior 3rd job instructor, from a bunch of nerfed Crimson Balrogs and Lycanthropes. The leader of the party has to be a warrior and he must be over 120. If the warrior has already gotten the skill you need from this PQ, then he can't lead it anymore. Because you can't go in as much as you want like all the other PQs, I hesitate to put it on the PQ chart.--IsaacGS 14:28, 15 December 2007 (CST)
I've heard some things that have led me to believe that it will be on the 22nd-23rd, and that it truly was delayed due to the problems last week. I can't elaborate and I don't plan on spreading it through sleepywood. Keep it under your hat ;)--IsaacGS 03:21, 20 January 2008 (CST)

Lich

The lich isn't spawning yet. When it does start spawning, it sends you back to town when you hit it. Anyone who tries to bot is gonna have to stop every few minutes to go through the elimination procedure which basically makes it impossible. For a legit player to get rid of it, you drop the tooth on the tomb and then destroy the chest. If you want, you can just kill the like after dropping the tooth on the tombstone, that makes it defeatable.--IsaacGS 12:02, 12 February 2008 (CST)

Crystal Ilbi

They can't be recharged now. There's nothing about them only being recharged in some special town. The issue right now is, when you go to the NPC, the Crystal Ilbis don't show up in your inventory. That's all.--IsaacGS 17:00, 18 February 2008 (CST)

Horntail

It's not available, and neither are the mastery books it drops.--IsaacGS 14:33, 2 March 2008 (CST)

Test server is only available to 1,000 people who were randomly selected earlier this week.--IsaacGS 13:27, 14 March 2008 (CDT)

"Soon"

Don't mark things as "soon" unless there's some sort of official announcement about it's upcoming release. Ariant for MSEA gets marked soon because of the newsletter. Omega for EMS gets marked soon because of their accidental early release. While it's almost certain that Ariant for GMS is gonna be .56, we can't be marking it as though it's fact until Nexon says so.--IsaacGS 20:59, 23 May 2008 (CDT)

If you're talking about the thing that I think you're talking about, that was for MSEA. If you're talking about another thread, then yeah the data of GMS .wz files indicates that Ariant will come out soon. However, there's no telling what could happen between then and now, and we don't want to incite false hopes. So, even though I personally am 100% certain that Ariant will come out in GMS's next content patch, I won't mark it as "soon" on the chart here because there's no way to know if something else will happen to change it. ONLY official announcements from Asiasoft, Nexon, Shanda, Gamania, etc. will be counted as evidence enough for a "soon".--IsaacGS 22:47, 24 May 2008 (CDT)
