Dotted Line[edit]
I'm not an admin or anything, but I saw your comment for the new skin, great idea, I don't like this way that much but to get rid of the line, go to My Preferences, go to skin and choose MonoBook, it makes the page look a lot more like Wikipedia and gets rid of the line, it also gets rid of the adverts (and it wrecks the way my userboxes look).--Rocky

Editing conventions[edit]
Hi. First off I'd like to thank you for your contributions to StrategyWiki: you've started off an awful lot of guides recently. However, you're making a few small mistakes, so to save sysops like me some work, it would be best if you don't make them in future. :-) If you look at these two diffs, you'll see the cleanup I've done on two articles you started recently. I'll just highlight what you could improve in future:
- Put the game's actual genre in the infobox, so soccer games should have [[Soccer]] in the infobox, rather than [[Sports]]. Additionally, there's no need to categorise games by their genre's parent; just the genre itself. (So you should only categorise by Soccer instead of by both Soccer and Sports.)
- If a game runs on Windows, put the Windows version down (in the infobox and as a category) which was prevalent at the time of the game's release; i.e. the version of Windows for which the game was designed. So, if a game was released in 2002 (after Windows XP was released in 2001), you'd put [[Windows NT]] down in the infobox, as Windows XP is based on the NT kernel, and that's what determines compatibility. Even if a game runs on previous versions of Windows (or future ones), you only put down the version for which it was designed. :-)
- There's no need to put [[Category:Games]] down in articles, as that's automatically done when you use the infobox.
- Make sure you categorise games by all their systems, not just the ones for which we have categories. In the case of the first diff, you forgot to categorise the game as running on the Gizmondo.
- Please only embolden game titles in the introductory paragraph, rather than emboldening and italicising them, as shown in the second diff.

Sure, a game can be preceded by two other games, and feel free to change that back. I only changed it because you'd used a slash, which indicated to me that one was an alternative name for the other. When you change it back, make sure to use a comma. Thanks. :-) --DrBob

Creating new guides[edit]
Hi. Would you mind not creating so many new guides for a bit, please? I know it's an odd thing to ask, but I'm getting worried that we'll end up with thousands of stub guides with no actual content, which would disappoint people who came here knowing that a guide existed, and looking for walkthroughs. I appreciate your enthusiasm, but could you perhaps just channel it all into adding content to existing guides, and making them the best around? I hope you understand, and keep editing! - Yeah, I know what you mean. That might work, but only – I think – if we had guest editing enabled; at the moment, I think that anyone who's going to go through the relative hassle of registering is not going to be daunted by having to start the guide from scratch. How do you create your images for the Picross DS page, I would love to help with this section and having the source images (or a means to create them) would be awesome.
