==Destroy Sylvanas' base==
==Destroy Sylvanas' base==

Now, it may be best to just build up a force that takes you to the low-upkeep limit and attack with that immediately, because that should allow you overrun the base, and maximize the gold that is left in the mine, even though you lose some gold to upkeep. However, there are unknowns. For example, you do know that mass teleportation spells exist, so you might be facing a much larger force when you attack, and you will have just lost a bunch of gold for nothing. Therefore, you can try some probing attacks with Skeletons first.
Before you attack, you should have got all your upgrades, and your gold mine will likely be exhausted. Now you can go over the zero-upkeep limit without penalty, although you can always stop mining to avoid paying your taxes. Allocate 30 more food or so to new units. It doesn’t really matter what you get, although air units tend to be pretty useless. Go in all at once and raze Sylvanas’ base to the ground. Don't get too attached to your troops, because a bunch of them will die.

You have two Necromancers, and you can transport 16 corpses around. However, one Necromancer can only raise 4 corpses before he needs some extended R&R. Remember that pool of mana? Prepare your attack force, and send it to the pool of mana after beating off an Elven attack and doing any recovery needed. From that location, you can pump out 32 Skeletons in short order, although the corpse reload time will be substantial. Since this is a probing attack, the Skeletons will go in alone. Unfortunately, you will find that you will not be able to do very much damage. The best that you can reasonably expect to do with a single attack wave is to take out the nearest Guard Tower. Attacking the troops seems to accomplish nothing at all, but the AI does not repair or replace its buildings in this situation. If you send the Skeletons as soon as they arise, they go in in groups of 4 and accomplish exactly zero. If you wait for all of your Skeletons to arise, the early ones will simply stand around and dissipate, so that doesn’t work. The best choice appears to be to start with a group of 8 and then send more as soon as they arise. You should also conclude that any attempt to penetrate further into Sylvanas’ base is hopeless.

If you try this Skeleton attack, you must abandon it after four attempts. The first time, you should wipe out the SE Guard Tower. The second time, you can attack troops or the Barracks. This attempt will fail miserably. The third time, you can aim for the NE Guard Tower. This attempt will fail miserably. The fourth time, you can redeploy your attack force to the west of the map and take out the SW Guard Tower. That’s all, folks. So much for finesse. All you have left is a brute force frontal assault.

By the time you have done all this, you should have got all your upgrades, and your gold mine will likely be exhausted. ==Prepare to invade Silvermoon==

This would be a good time to get some R&R and to take stock. As long as you don't provoke them, Silvermoon won't attack you, so you can take as much time as you want. You DID stop all the runners, right? Of course, Silvermoon may be building up an immense stockpile of gold while you dither, but on the other hand, they may already have an infinite amount. You simply don't know.

You should have about 10,000 gold in the bank, and about 15,000 in your undeveloped mine. It seems like this will be plenty to finish the scenario, but that doesn't mean that you should start spending wastefully.

At the very end, you need to defeat 4 level 9 Granite Golems, supported by 4 Towers. You could just rush them with a bunch of units, but if you prefer to avoid losing units, build 5-10 Spirit Towers around your newest gold mine. The Golems just stand around and ignore you until you tag them. Give Arthas an Anti-magic Shell and go taunt a couple of the Golems. (Granite Golems have a lot of mana, and probably some very nasty spells.) Drag them through your tower line and watch them die. Even with all that firepower, they die rather slowly, and Arthas half-dies, so you can imagine what would happen if you tried to fight them on the open field. Rinse, and repeat. Job's done.

You can carry six items through to the next mission. Drop an item near the circle of power without activating it, retrieve the item left behind elsewhere, activate the circle and claim the item near the circle in the brief window of time between the urn's disappearance from inventory and mission end.
Arthas has (example): Gloves of Haste, Pendant of Energy, Health Stone, Ring of Regeneration, Hood of Cunning and Scroll of the Beast. This setup gives him 98% attack speed (Gloves, Hood, Unholy Frenzy active), 1.2 armor (Hood), 4.5 health regen on top of normal regen (Unholy Aura, Stone, Ring which is more than Unholy Frenzy drains), 210 mana (Pendant, Hood), 0.2 mana regen (Hood), 30% movement speed (Unholy Aura) and the ability to boost allies attack damage by 25% (Scroll).

There are four groups of neutral units: a couple of Golems to the north of your main base, 4 Gnolls to the south of your main base, 4 Gnolls south of your second base, and 2 Forest Trolls with 3 Ogres by a mercenary camp north of the western part of Silvermoon. The Gnoll Overseer to the south of where Sylvanas had her base drops a potion of greater mana, the Gnoll Overseer to the south of your first base drops a scroll of the beast, and one of the Golems drops a Ring of Regeneration.
