Air Combat level selection.png

Namco's 1992 combat flight simulator arcade game Air Combat is divided into three levels of play; Cadet, Captain, and Ace. The image shown above is of the game's level select screen, which will appear after you insert your coin into the cabinet, and give you ten seconds to select one of the three levels to start upon (by pushing the analogue joystick left and right then squeezing the trigger or pressing the button to confirm your choice) - and because the game is mostly comprised of dogfights, it is advisable to kill the enemies by shooting them down, and save your missiles as you will need them for later. The enemies may use ECM against your missiles (but you cannot use it against theirs), and you should not fire one unless you can afford to miss; after the mission timer has run out (assuming you survived that long), the mission result, along with your remaining amount of ammunition, will get displayed.
