Legends are the playable characters in Apex Legends. They are categorised into different classes, and all legends within a class share a single class-specific ability.
Assault[edit]
Assault legends are those whose abilities are based around firepower and combat.
They are able to open the hidden compartment in weapon supply bins and they can carry more ammo than other legends.

Controller legends are those whose abilities are based around denying space during combat.
They are able to use ring consoles to reveal to their team where the next ring will be.

Recon[edit]
Recon legends are those whose abilities are based around providing information on other players' locations.
They are able to use survey beacons to temporarily reveal all other players' locations on the map.

Skirmisher[edit]
Skirmisher legends are those whose abilities are based around movement and quickly entering and exiting battle.
They are able to see the contents of care packages from a distance.

Support[edit]
Support legends are those whose abilities are based around supporting the team in other ways, such as by healing, shielding, or giving easier access to loot.
They are able to open the hidden compartment in extended supply bins. Having a support legend on the team also allows the whole team to craft their teammates' banners at replicators.
