: Use the direction pad to move your Gunhed Star Fighter in eight directions.
: Press the I button to release a cluster bomb.
: Press the II button to fire your weapons. Hold down the II button for continuous fire.
: Press the Run button to pause the game during gameplay.
: Press the Select button during gameplay to cycle through one of five speeds for your ship as indicated by the arrows in the top left corner of the screen. No arrows is the slowest speed, while 
is the fastest.
Note that, as with other TurboGrafx-16 titles, holding down 
and pressing 
at any time will perform a soft reset.
