Digital Champ: Battle Boxing (DIGITAL CHAMP バトルボクシング?) is a first-person perspective boxing game developed and published by Naxat Soft for the PC Engine in Japan in 1989. The game takes place in the fictional year 20XX, with the main player as a mutant fighting hordes of boxer clones before facing off against a robotic boxer. Three clone opponents exist; Marciano, Mick and Samson. Each match is a maximum of twelve rounds, each being three minutes.

It remained a Japan exclusive until 2008, when it was added to the Wii's Virtual Console in all territories. It has also since been added to the Wii U's eShop. The game was released to the Wii Virtual Console in Japan on April 15, 2008, Europe on May 16, 2008, and in North America on October 20, 2008. It was released in the mid-2010s for the Wii Virtual Console.

Gameplay[edit]

In Digital Champ, the player must fight through a series of opponents via a first-person perspective. Two face buttons control the player's boxer's hands independently, and the player can also duck to the left or right to evade the opponent's blows. By holding down either punch button before releasing, the player can do more damage to their opponent with a stronger blow.
