These are the enemies that you face in Faceball 2000. The list is in order of appearance in the Cyberzone mode. Note that the Game Boy and Game Gear versions have all enemies in the same color.

Easy Smiloids[edit]

These guys have very basic AI as none of them actively search for you and only two of them actually shoot. They're also extremely weak as a single bullet takes them out immediately. Unless you're never aware of your surroundings, they're easy to handle.

Name: Shootme
Appearance: Tube top, tube bottom
Attacks: Touch
Hit Points: 1

The easiest enemy in the game, bar none. All Shootme does is just stay in place and slowly rotate. The handheld versions don't have them explode on touch, essentially making them targets.

Name: Shootme2
Appearance: Round top, tube bottom
Attacks: Touch
Hit Points: 1

Shootme2 doesn't shoot you either, only focused on moving until it hits a wall and slowly rotates 180 degrees to move again until it hits another wall. It will not stop if it sees you and explodes on contact, so watch your back.

Name: Ishootu
Appearance: Tube top, tube bottom
Attacks: Shot, touch
Hit Points: 1

Ishootu is the first enemy that actually shoots, but like Shootme, it just spins slowly on the spot, never aiming for you. Just be aware of the timing of its shots and taking it out will be easy. They do not explode on contact in the handheld versions.

Name: Ishootu2
Appearance: Tube top, round bottom
Attacks: Shot, touch
Hit Points: 1

Ishootu2 moves around like Shootme2, going forward until it hits a wall and turns around to go back. Also like Shootme2, it blows up when touching you. It only shoots in intervals like Ishoot, so just stay out of its path and shoot it first. They do not explode on contact in the handheld versions.

Average Smiloids[edit]

The first set of enemies that will actually target you, these guys usually wander aimlessly until you're in their sights. Most of them are still fairly weak, so they shouldn't be too hard to take out, especially if you hide in corners or behind walls.

FB2K GB Face2.png

Name: Turkey
Appearance: Tube top, round bottom
Attacks: Shot
Hit Points: 1

The first malicious enemy, it usually wanders the maze until you're spotted. Once it finds you, it stops in its tracks and shoots you slowly. A Turkey can be taken out in one hit, so simply shoot and dodge if it spots you.

FB2K GB Face3.png

Name: Gremlin
Appearance: Round top, tube bottom
Attacks: Explosion
Hit Points: 2

Like Turkeys, Gremlins also move around the maze until you're found. Instead of shooting, it will chase you down and explode once it touches you. Back up and shoot quickly if one finds you or hide away in a corner if there are more of them since their sensors are very weak.

FB2K GB Face2.png

Name: Wally
Appearance: Tube top, round bottom
Attacks: Shot
Hit Points: 3

Wally tends to hug against the walls while moving in the maze, only breaking out of this behavior when it discovers you. Sometimes it will hide behind walls for cover while attacking, so aim carefully.

FB2K GB Face1.png

Name: Rover
Appearance: Round top, round bottom
Attacks: Shot
Hit Points: 3

A Rover is basically a stronger, faster, and smarter Turkey. It'll chase you down and shoot at you once it spots you, making hiding from it rather difficult. Rover is difficult to take down in groups.

Hard Smiloids[edit]

This next group of Smiloids are tougher and faster than the last group. Most of their behavior is defensive as they tend to guard certain areas or leave if their health is too low. Look around cautiously to avoid their patrol routes and shoot at a distance.

FB2K GB Face4.png

Name: Scanner
Appearance: Tube top, tube bottom
Attacks: Shot
Hit Points: 4

This guy is basically a superpowered Ishoot as it only stays in place, but almost always knows where you are. When it doesn't know, it'll just spin around quickly; but when it does, it'll quickly shoot you. Stay out of its range and take note when it's unable to see you but you can see it.

FB2K GB Face4.png

Name: Bouncer
Appearance: Tube top, tube bottom
Attacks: Shot
Hit Points: 4

Bouncer will chase and fire at you once it finds you, but their incredible speed makes it very hard to run away. When it only has one hit point left, it will back away, but still try to shoot you. Be sure your stats are powered up or you'll have no chance against Bouncer.

FB2K GB Face1.png

Name: Guard
Appearance : Round top, round bottom
Attacks: Shot
Hit Points: 4

Guard tends to be very territorial as it only wanders around specific parts of the map. It won't attack you unless you move into their range. Move carefully to avoid getting caught in their territory.

FB2K GB Face3.png

Name: Vampire
Appearance: Round top, tube bottom
Attacks: Bite
Hit Points: 3

Like Bouncer, Vampire moves very fast, but once it spots you, it'll quickly rush toward you and attack once it's adjacent to you. Rapidly gun it down as having a lot of Vampires biting you will quickly drain your health.

Radical Smiloids[edit]

The final set, these Smiloids have unique ways of finding you from across the map and take several hits to kill. It's best to be on the defensive with these guys and only move out of safe zones when necessary.

FB2K GB Face4.png

Name: Crosseye
Appearance : Tube top, tube bottom
Attacks: Shot
Hit Points: 5

Crosseye's sensor is practically perfect as it'll always know where you are. However, it can't detect you if you're not moving, so it'll patrol around when inactive. It tends to swerve in place when attacking you and it'll back away once it only has one hit point left.

FB2K GB Face2.png

Name: Kamikaze
Appearance: Tube top, round bottom
Attacks: Touch and shot
Hit Points: 5

Compared to the other reds, Kamikaze doesn't have the most powerful sensor. However, when it does find you, it guns straight for you and will blow up on contact. If your speed and shot levels aren't high, then killing it before the explosion will be nearly impossible.

FB2K GB Face3.png

Name: Shark
Appearance: Round top, tube bottom
Attacks: Bite
Hit Points: 5

Similar to Vampire, Shark will bite you as an attack, but it doesn't actively search for you until your health is low or you shoot it. If multiple Sharks are on a map, keep your health above 1/3 or they'll discover and swarm you.

FB2K GB Face1.png

Name: Ninja
Appearance: Round top, round bottom
Attacks: Shot
Hit Points: 6

Ninja is very fast, can spot you from a mile away, and has a lot of health. There's not much of a strategy on dealing with it; just shoot Ninja down as fast as you can when it finds you.

FB2K GB Face1.png

Name: Master
Appearance: Round top, round bottom
Attacks: Shot
Hit Points: ???

The strongest, fastest, and deadliest Smiloid in the game. It'll always give chase when it spots you and has a destructive rapid-fire shot. When it kills you, it'll speedily find your respawn point to do it again. The only way to take it down is to fire like crazy when you battle this beast.
