Luigi Circuit[edit]
The "simple" track: it's just a basic loop, with a jump to the side near the end. Power slide along the edge of the boosts on the last turn for maximum speed. It is recommended that you use a bike on this course, as there are straight sections, on which you can do a wheelie; if you are not familiar with a bike, it is should at least to be made sure that you use a kart with high speed, or you will be at a disadvantage on the straightaways.
Shortcuts[edit]
Near the end, there is a ramp off to the side, although unless you have more than Mushroom, do not take this shortcut. Instead, if you have a Mushroom, use it to boost through the field of pipes, which is faster. Just be careful not to crash into them.
Moo Moo Meadows[edit]
Watch out for the cows and moles that occasionally appear in the track. There are two ramps which you can use to perform tricks; use these to your advantage.
Shortcuts[edit]
If you have a mushroom, use it to boost through the grass after you pass the herd of cows.
Mushroom Gorge[edit]
The red mushrooms in this course are one of the few things that give you a small boost and allows you to perform tricks. The green mushrooms act as a normal section of the track. This is a crash course in tricks and jumping, and requires some finesse to avoid falling off.
Shortcuts[edit]
In Time Trials mode, when on a bike, use one mushroom per one lap to boost on the mountain before you cross the curving bridge. When you land on the mountain, perform a wheelie. You will turn left automatically . When you pass the finish line, jump off the mountain and cross the line. When you land, you'll be on the next lap.
At the end, if you have a Mushroom, use it to cut through the grass at the last turn with the Goombas. If you can snipe a Goomba with a Shell, then you could use that Mushroom if you are lucky. Also, in 150cc (possible in 100cc, but extremely difficult), if you are using a high-speed character like Funky Kong, you may be able to jump the entire gap at the end if you use a Mushroom and then hop over it.
Toad Factory[edit]
Stay on the conveyor belts that go forward so you can get gain speed, but watch out for the crushers! Avoid the crates on the moving conveyor belts in the water area; they slow you down more than you'd think.
Shortcuts[edit]
Before you pass the muddy trail, face the little pond and use a mushroom to jump over the pond. Aim at the first bump so you can perform a trick and fly in the air.
