When you start a new game, you will have to select the difficulty. All settings can be changed later except for Risky.
- Safety - enjoy story
- Easy - casual playthrough
- Normal - tense battles
- Hard - grueling battles
- Risky - protagonist is required in party and death will end the game
Next, you will have to enter a name for the P5 Hero.
Theater[edit]
The movie theater acts as a main hub where you can prepare your party before exploring the labyrinth. Whenever you return to the theater, HP and SP are fully recovered.

Treasure Spots[edit]
Treasure spots are where you can obtain materials in the labyrinth. You can choose between two options.
- Search cautiously - find up to four items with low chance of rare items and low risk of battle
- Search thoroughly - find up to five items with greater chance of rare items and greater chance of battle
Some treasure spots will replenish when you leave the labyrinth and return.
