Ax Battler is a balanced character; both his attack and magic are average, making him a solid character choice for new players. His dashing attack is a shoulder barge that has low priority, and his special attack is a spinning attack that hits enemies directly behind him. In the Genesis port, his weapon reach is superior compared to Tyris, so he is more efficient when attacking enemies with his combo, jumping attack, and special attack.
