According to the prank plan script, he was supposed to pretend to be dead, then rise into the air. Since the victim was wearing a stunt harness, this seems to be true. The Judge then asks why they would make the victim fly into the air. '''Select''' the '''second option'''. Apollo says that the murderer planted a weapon in the cushioning that the victim would fly into. As he was flying in the air, he was stabbed in the back by the steel sword that was hidden above. When the set piece fell, the victim flew upwards, later leading to his death. The slash in Mr. Hat's cape would also then be caused by the blade of the steel sword. Ultimately, Betty was told to release the set piece so that Trucy would panic, not knowing that would cause the victim's death. Afterwards, Mr. Reus swapped the rubber sword for the steel sword, as well as lowered the victim's body onto the stage behind the set piece after the audience fled.
