If you're going to fight plant 42 (as Chris without Rebecca/Jill), you can fight the plant with only a knife! Seems there is a hole in back of the plant on the dorm hall (where you can enter the plant 42 room/dorm 003 room) where it can't hurt/hit you and you're safe to knife it. Simply run up into that hole and you're pretty much safe.

There is a little mistake in the walkthrough. If you want to play Rebecca for mixing the V-Jolet and save Chris from the Plant 42 (Director's Cut and Original i believe) You have to take Rebecca with you on that first saveroom you met her. (The Sequence at the beginning, where Rebecca sprays into Chrises face)
(In the Director's Cut edition) Rebecca asks Chris to come with him or not. In this walkthrough it says that Rebecca asks Chris to stay in the room. Thats wrong!
"Good ending" (Play Rebecca for saving Chris from Plant 42) means let come Rebecca with you (Say "yes" and she tells Chris that she have to handle something first...)
"Bad ending" (Kill Plant 42 without Rebeccas help) means let Rebecca stay in the (serum) room (Say "no" to her question)
