This is a unique first person shooter set in Washington DC in the near future. You're going to have to face a lot of aliens and "The Trust" which turned against you.

You play as Michael Ford, a secret agent that gets drawn into the alien invasion. You're going to learn not to just go in and shoot aliens, but to also interact with environments and use the All-Seeing Eye (ASE).

Here are the important factors to get started:

  • Strafe: Strafing is important in dodging enemy fire. If you don't strafe, you could die easily and have to start over again.
  • Use cover: There could be places in which you get to take a breather, so find these places if the gun fight becomes too much for you.
  • Use crouch and jump: For crouching, just find cover with the right height to duck under enemy fire. For jumping, if you don't have cover, simply jump around encounters and also go to places you can't get to if you are just walking around the level.
  • Lock on target: With most games, you'll have a hard time trying to take down a moving enemy. Use it especially against bosses when you need to jump and shoot around until you are certain the enemy passes away.
  • Zoom in and snipe: Some weapons have a sniping option. You can't change the range of the zoom, but at least you get better accuracy. Use it not just in single player, but multiplayer as well. If you can't take enemies up close, this is the alternative method which works well if you are free from enemies attacking you.

Features[edit]

There's a few unique features which are part of this game. The most unique feature is the ASE. You need it for a few factors:

  • The door or section would be unlocked if you can find a number of yellow dots. Your ASE will alert you to nearby secrets, so pay attention to it.
  • A puzzle in which you line up three arcs just to open a secret weapon area. For people new to the game, you should try out all the weapons and make good use of them.
  • Invisible messages will be hidden in every level. Also there are data disks that need to be collected. These play to the achievements. You'll unlock a cheat if you can find all the secrets in all levels.
  • The most important is the invisible bombs. You'll see a small red illusional light at first but your ASE will alert you that there's a bomb nearby.

The other unique feature after level three which will help you through the game:

  • Health regeneration helps you from dying if you can find a place to recover. It won't kick in until level four, so you can take your time taking down enemies, unless there's a health item nearby or you can stop, wait for your health to heal, then go into battle.
