Image categorisation[edit]

When uploading images, please make sure to categorise them using the correct image categories and the guide-specific category, i.e. [[Category:Game Name images]]. The image policy is viewable here, and contains all the information you'll need to categorise future uploads. --DrBob (Talk) 15:26, 20 September 2006 (CDT)

Additionally, could you please not put your name at the beginning of image filenames, as it's completely superfluous. Just put an acronym of the game's name there instead. --DrBob (Talk) 15:26, 20 September 2006 (CDT)

Categories[edit]

Please could you not create any new categories for things (such as day categories for game releases), as certain things need to be done with them, and it's best done by a sysop. The fact that the category is redlinked for a while doesn't really matter, as we get around to them quickly enough. --DrBob (Talk) 10:49, 22 September 2006 (CDT)

Dominions page[edit]

Yea, I agree. Is that info part of the units name, or is it a description. If it's part of the description, that can be moved out of the title, and get rid of the nowiki. Or if possible, change the ':' to '-' or something. -- Prod (Talk) 11:41, 22 October 2006 (CDT)

ok, i will replace the colons with a '-'. The information is Gold and Resource cost of a unit. It is a unit stat, not part oof the title. --Horstjens 12:07, 22 October 2006 (CDT)

Merge[edit]

The {{mergeto}} template is for use when you think something should be done but you think others may object. If it's an obvious merge that should be done, go ahead and copy paste the information and merge the two sets of text. Then leave either the {{merged}} or {{now merged}} template when you're done. -- Prod (Talk) 11:39, 27 October 2006 (CDT)

ok, thanks for the hint--Horstjens 11:44, 27 October 2006 (CDT)
  • {{now merged}} doesn't really matter, so might as well put on the main page
  • {{merged}} goes on the talk page, since we don't want it to mess up layout (it's not the prettiest of templates :P)
  • {{mergeto}}/{{mergefrom}} go on the main pages, so that people notice and discuss (at the top of the page)

Don't worry about delete, thats understood. Btw, when you're done, be sure to update the ToC (the amount of content in this guide is mindboggling :D). -- Prod (Talk) 12:04, 27 October 2006 (CDT)

Spelling[edit]

Might I suggest trying out Firefox as your web browser. It comes with an inline spell check function for forms (like MS Word). It's great that you're adding so much information to the Dominions 3 guide, but bad spelling makes it look less professional and takes away from the experience. -- Prod (Talk) 12:50, 10 November 2006 (CST)

Edit something, right click in the form area, and there should be a Languages option (right under Spell check this field), from which you can add dictionaries. -- Prod (Talk) 13:30, 10 November 2006 (CST)
