Characters

Star Fighter (スターファイター)

File:BO Star Fighter A3.gif

As in the original Bosconian arcade game, you must take control of the Star Fighter that the Federal Council had originally developed back in 1981 for the purposes of destroying the Enemy Bases, for a second time; it is now equipped with four different varieties of firing patterns, the colours and directions of which have been explained on that main page. It still has the ability to move in eight directions, but is now always facing the top of the screen and moving upward while the background scrolls downwards behind it and brings the enemies into view - and it must still avoid contact with every enemy (except for the Jiara and Furemu Launchers in the background of World 3-3) and every shot fired at it, or it will die and be sent back to the current area's quarter-way, half-way, or three-quarter-way checkpoint. It will also receive an extra life at every 80000 points, but this can be modified.
To the left is how the Star Fighter appears at its normal size, in the first and second areas of each world, and to the right is how it will appear at its larger size in the third area of each world; the colour up at the top of it will change to blue, yellow and green each time the Pattern Selection Button is pressed.
