The first thing to do in this level is to your right, there is a tall platform with a Purple Jinjo on top. Flap-Jump on it to get it. Beside the platform is a Mumbo Token. Now return to the path starting from the world exit and cross the bridge collecting the first 7 notes crossing the lake. To your right is a tiny island with a Blue Jinjo on it. Flutter Jump to it to collect the Jinjo. Now jump into the lake and swim under it. You will see two alcoves, each with three notes. Collect the 6 notes and return to the land.

Cross the bridge as before and head to an area to your left, avoiding a Bigbutt. Here you should acquire three jiggies. To collect the first one, stand on an orange pad. As soon as Conga throws an orange, move off the pad before the oranges hit you. Repeat with the other two pads and a Jiggies will appear where the last pad was. Collect the first of the level. Now climb the tree Conga is standing on to collect one of his oranges. Run up to Chimpy (on a tree stump) below the U-shaped platform. Chimpy will leave the stump, dropping a Jiggy for you to collect. and will rise the stump to make the platform with your Flap-Jump. Learn Firing Eggs on your left while acquiring your first blue eggs.
 
Now head towards Conga on the platform while standing on the high platform. Conga will be your first victim to your new egg attack while you are the intended victim of his oranges. Hurt him three times and he'll give up the third and final Jiggy of the area. Now now you could collect a Mumbo Token on one of the platfroms near Conga's tree. There is a Grunty switch here, but we'll go there later. Head out of Conga's area and collect Honeycombs from a Beehive if you are hit by Conga's oranges. Now run up a path to Ticker's Mountain, collecting 9 notes on the way.
 
There, run up another path to the hill on your left, collecting another 4 notes. Collect the 4th Jiggy on an obvious platform. Now, find a hidden Mumbo Token behind the structure. Find a Molehill here to learn the Talon Trot. Use this vital move to climb up the stonehenge-like structure. Follow the path (acquiring 14 notes) and find an orange Jinjo. Now use your new move to your advantage and collect a whopping 21 note on the platforms on the hillside near the stongehedge and a Yellow Jinjo. Now go back to Ticker's area head inside Ticker's Mountain. You should find an entrance at the base. Inside, kill a Ticker and Talon trot to collect the fourth Mumbo Token.
 
Head outside and head up to a nearby Mumbo's area. Learn Beak-Buster at the left of the area and use it to destroy all of the 6 houses collecting 6 more notes on top of them. Inside each house are:
 
*5 notes
*5 eggs
*A Grublin
*A Green Jinjo (If you are following this walkthrough, you should have all Jinjos for this level. Collect a Jiggy they reward you.)
*An Extra Life
*A Jiggy
 
Now jump on the platform in the middle of the area to meet the Ju-Ju's. Fire an Eggs in each of their mouths to beat them. They rotate faster on each Ju-Ju. so time carefully. On the last one, don't egg it. Jump on his head and Flap-Jump to an otherwise unreachable Empty Honeycomb piece. Now finish up the last Ju-Ju and collect another Jiggy. You could continue, but first head back to Conga's area. Head up the platorms where you collected a Mumbo Token and head towards a Grunty switch. Beak-Buster it and head back to Mumbo's place.
 
Along the way, you should head up a hill with a talon trot from the wrld exit to Mumbo's area. Collect 18 notes and a Jiggy along the way. Under the ramp to Mumbo's skull-like hut is a Mumbo Token. On one of the eyes of the skull is a Jiggy collect it and enter the hut.
 
Collect four notes in the hut an step on the pad. Follow Mumbo's instructions (you should have the necessary 5 Tokens by now) and turn into a Termite, which can climb hills too steep for even Kazooie to walk on.
 
Now you can climb up Ticker's mountain entirely. Head back here and start climbing. Collect 6 notes along the way (You should have all 100 notes by now). If you are careful, you make it to the upper exit. Outside, collect a not too hard Extra Life on the left and to the right, head up to the very top where the last Jiggy of the level is waiting.
 
Now climb down a very steep hill down to the lake and collect a Empty Honeycomb piece down there.
 
Now head for the exit as you have collected everything on the first challenge world of the game, but DON'T change back to your original bear and bird form!

Mumbo's Mountain is the first level in the game, and because of this, it's the easiest. It is rather small, but still has a Mumbo Skull, a giant gorilla who throws oranges at you, a termite mountain, and a lake.

Mumbo's Mountain

Entering the Level

Level Location: To the right of the entrance to Grunty's Lair
Jiggies Required to Enter: 1
Jiggy Pad: To right of level's entrance

Locations

  • Mumbo's Skull - Near Mumbo's skull at the top of the level
  • Termite's Mountain - The big pillar with pink termites around it
  • Stonehenge-like Area - Across the level from Mumbo's Skull
  • Conga's Jungle - From the entrance, go forward and turn left after you cross the bridge.

Stuff To Do

  • After Jiggy #5, climb the platforms along the wall and press the Grunty Pad with a Beak Buster. Leave the level as a Termite if you intend to get this Jiggy.
  • Collect 50 or more notes.

Jiggies

Eye of Mumbo's Skull

Moves Required: None
Description: This one is easy. It's in the eye on the outside of Mumbo's Skull. Use a high jump to reach it.

Break The Houses

Moves Required: Beak Buster
Description: Break all of the houses outside of Mumbo's Skull by jumping on them and then using the Beak Buster. The last one you break has a Jiggy. (Others you break hold various other useful items.)

The Middle of Stonehenge

Moves Required: None
Description: Go to the center of the Stonehenge-like area for a Jiggy.

Deal With Conga

Moves Required: None
Description: Stand on the orange pads until Conga throws an orange, then run off.

Chimpy's Orange

Moves Required: None
Description: Climb Conga's tree and get an orange. Bring it to the tree stumps to Chimpy who will give you a Jiggy for the orange. This will also make the platform below him rise.

Shooting Conga

Moves Required: Egg Shooting and High Jump
Description: Near where you learn Egg Shooting, there is a platform right in front of Conga. Shoot him with an egg, then avoid the orange he throws. Do this three times for a Jiggy.

Mumbo's Hill

Moves Required: Talon Trot
Description: Talon Trot on the side of the hill Mumbo's Skull sits on. There is a platform with a Jiggy on it.

Mumbo's Totem, Juju

Moves Required: Egg Shooting
Description: Shoot eggs into the mouths of Mumbo's totem. They will explode when you do.

Termite's Mountain

Moves Required: Be a Termite
Description: First, get all of the Mumbo Tokens in this level, then go to Mumbo's Skull and become a Termite. Enter Termite's Mountain and go all the way to the top.

Jinjos

Moves Required: Talon Trot, Beak Buster
Description: Get all of the Jinjos.

Notes

  • 7 - Across the bridge over the lake
  • 6 - In the lake at the bottom
  • 9 - On the pathway up to the Termite's Mountain from the Beehive
  • 4 - On the pathway up to the Stonehenge-like area from the Termite's Mountain
  • 14 - On top of the Stonehenge-like structure
  • 21 - Use the Talon Trot and walk to the platforms sticking out of the hill on the side of the Stonehenge-like area

Beak Buster

Location: To the left of Mumbo's Skull
Moves Required: None
Description: Jump into the air and press Z to smash into things below you.

Talon Trot

Location: Stonehenge-like area
Moves Required: None
Description: Hold Z and then press left C to allow Kazooie to walk. You can go up steep platforms this way, and you can also walk faster.

Ancient Ways of the Egg AKA Egg Shooting

Location: Conga's Jungle
Moves Required: None
Description: Hold Z and press forward C to shoot an egg. Hold Z and backward C to poop them. Bottles will give you 50 to practice with, and there are many eggs nearby.

Mumbo Tokens

  1. Under the wooden steps leading to Mumbo's Skull.
  2. Behind the Stonehenge-like area on the ground.
  3. On the platforms near Conga's tree, near where you hit the Grunty Pad and get the Egg Shooting ability.
  4. Behind the pink Jinjo.
  5. Inside Termite's Mountain. Use the Talon Trot.

Empty Honeycombs

  1. On the hill that the Termite's Mountain sits on. Climb up to the mountain and slide down the center; it is too steep for the Talon Trot.
  2. Above Mumbo's Totem pole. Destroy all but one of them, then jump on top and do a high jump. If you've already destroyed all of them, simply exit and reenter the level.
