Is this the right way to communicate with you?  (Since I wrote that, Baejung told me to hit the "+" symbol to put this at the end of this topic area.) I am new to this format.  Thanks for your contributions.  This is my first experience putting something online so it takes a while to get the feel of things.  Can I ask you questions when I need guidance?  Some of the simplest things are totally new concepts to me.
Check out [[WP:WP:AWB]].  It's a fairly easy to use/set up bot.  I mainly use its find/replace features so you'll need to learn a bit out that stuff (and be very careful with it ;)). -- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|Talk]]) 00:52, 26 September 2007 (CDT)

::What do you want your bot to do? If it's things like automatically moving a bunch of pages from one category to another, it's a matter of finding the category text and replacing it with the new category.  Similarly, spell checks/formatting checks all require find/replacements. -- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|Talk]]) 19:39, 26 September 2007 (CDT)

==News==
Sweet! That looks like loads of fun. I'm going to get the Wii version, though.

It's weird how many July birthdays there are, huh?

==Another MPH :)==
''(In response to your previous message)''
Yeah. I got it! But as you may have heard, I'm making a guide for MPH, and since then I haven't been playing so much until recently, when I picked it up again. So I'm possibly worse than I was before when I would fight you. Oh, I got Pokémon Pearl :) I ''just'' got it, though. So give me time to get some good Pokémon before we trade. Neoseeker sounds fun, but I can't participate in forums after my previous obsession at www.fireemblemempire.com You should check it out, they have a place where SPAM is '''OKAY!''' There aren't too many people there, though. I used to known as Shadow Wolf, I was the second-most often poster, behind Omega Blaster. I was only there for two months before my parents made me stop :( And what is "rec"? [[User:Apokid|Apo Jack]] 23:50, 25 June 2007 (CDT) PS, don't kill me, I got an AR with my Pokémon game. *presses "save page" before you kill me*

Hey! You didn't attempt to kill me! Lol! Anyways, yeah, when I get around to it I can get you any Pokémon you want, and I think any level, easy. I can also teach it any TM move, too. In short, it can be awesome. I kinda wish I could join Neo :( I don't know too many people who play MPH :( But good for you, getting into the clan! But I actually don't know whether or not I could get in, despite my rank. Oh, and I gave up on the guide. Why should other people know how to pwn? JK. But I'm getting back to a worthy-five-star :) YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF IT?! I've never heard of it being called that, I've heard of Death Freeze, though. And I do it all the time, too. And my Shadow Freezing skills are, if I am to be very prideful, pretty freakin' good, yo! But anyways, my greatest strength is my tactics, not neccisarily how well I can execute them. So if I fail with my tactics I go down hard. When I say tactics I mean getting my foe exactly where I want him. E.G. I was playing Ice Hive, and I was Kanden so I couldn't get the Deathalt. So instead, I got to the DD zone, waited with a Jud, and when he approached continuasly fired shots down the pipe thing. He left, though :( Which brings me to discuss the guy who trains people. I think that's awesome, and I have actually done that with a ''rival'', pretty cool. No matter how badly I get owned I stick in. "To own a hunter's soul is better than to own a five star!" as I always say! I'm rambling :O See ya [[User:Apokid|Apo Jack]] 20:02, 29 June 2007 (CDT)

==MPH==
Yes, I do have MPH and a Wi-Fi connector.  The thing is, I'm not sure what my FC is - how the heck do I find it?  This occured after I got my DS lite and lost the manual to my copyI've been searching the menu and although I can add others codes, I can't find my own.  Stupid, huh?  I can't really play online much as exams are coming up in a few weeks, but I'll free up soon enough.  By the way, do you have any other DS Wi-Fi games?--[[User:Froglet|Froglet]] 04:53, 9 May 2007 (CDT)
: Yeah, I do have the Opera browser. It was one of the many reasons why I got a DS Lite in the first place (that, and I preordered Pokémon Diamond for my brother and Pearl for myself, I'd get no peace if I didn't give it to him).  Allow me to recharge my DS, yank it off my little brother, and I'll give my FC to you.  My other Wi-Fi games are [[Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin]], [[Animal Crossing: Wild World]] and [[Final Fantasy III]].  The Pokémon games aren't out until June 21st here in Australia, which is a bugger, it's 10 days behind my b-day, so I can't scab it off my parents... oh well... :-P --[[User:Froglet|Froglet]] 03:32, 10 May 2007 (CDT)
:: Okay, after a fight with a certain 9 year old who wants to keep my hard-won DS Lite, my FC is: 3436-9681-1166. :-) --[[User:Froglet|Froglet]] 03:57, 10 May 2007 (CDT)
About P/D when it gets released - certainly!  I think one of the first things I'll do when I get Pearl (my brother is getting Diamond) is trade all my Sapphire Pokémon there - I comepleted my Sapphire pokedex (I caught that Feebas by sheer luck), but I couldn't be bothered to transfer them all to my Fire Red version.  I like the look of the water starter - it's cute!  I'll add your FC after school, as right now, I have to go.--[[User:Froglet|Froglet]] 18:23, 10 May 2007 (CDT)
::: It depends - which version do you play more?  Are your most prized and valued Pokémon available in Diamond?  Do you want to completely complete the dex in Diamond?  Is there any way of breeding any Pokémon you may want on your emerald cart, then transpose the hatched egg over to the Diamond version?  Or, my personal favourite: is there anybody you know who you can dupe into sending you legendary Pokémon?  It really depends upon your style of play - whether you want to complete both versions and have unique combatants in your parties, or use a time-old formula from your GBA game.  I'd do a mix and match of both - first trade over my legendaries (Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Jirachi, Rayquaza (yes, I do have all these)), then the rarish Pokémon I can trade for really good stuff (Feebas and my starters from my Sapphire version come to mind), then Pokémon you can't get in P/D (I usually breed them and send the hatched egg, coz they sometimes have pre-evolved forms and its fun leveling them up from the beginning).  But that's just me - I try to maximise the value of time spent trading the Pokémon over.--[[User:Froglet|Froglet]] 04:21, 11 May 2007 (CDT)
:::: Oh yes, I might as well add that yesterday I preordered Pokémon Pearl for myself (they ususally sell out here quick and it takes a few weeks to find one in the shops).  I'll exchange friend codes with you when I get it, and if you like, I will trade over my legendaries et al over to my copy of pearl and I'll swap them with you for something, if you just want the dex entries for them - on the condition that you give them back (some of the legendaries are my brothers and sisters, who would be really pissed if I swapped it over the internet).--[[User:Froglet|Froglet]] 22:52, 19 May 2007 (CDT)
I'm not against the use of action replays ''per se'', just that I've always thought it to be a bit dodgy. however, I have used them in the past, in particular, to get a mewtwo to complete my Red team (after a sibling of mine nicked it), and I also got a lvl99 Kyogre via AR rare candies.  However, I'm a bit hesitant over getting one in a trade :-P - just so long it ain't glitched or will crash my game, it's fine.  What exactly were you planning?--[[User:Froglet|Froglet]] 06:00, 21 May 2007 (CDT)

==Planet walkthrough contribtion==
Hey. I read on your user page that you are currently focused on Spectrobes, among other things. I wanted to tell you that the most helpful contribution you could make would be a planet walkthrough. There is only one slightly detailed one that I started, and there is absolutely nothing on any other planet. Also, I think a very helpful planet would be Nessa, about how to find the Keystone there. A bunch of people want to know about that, but since I beat the game, I can't go back there any more.
Thank you for your contributions,  [[User:Myth|Myth]] 14:42, 18 May 2007 (CDT)

Hello. I would appreciate it very much if you could review my walkthrough (such as it is) on [[Spectrobes/Genshi]], to see if it's accurate. You seem to be the only knowledgeable Spectrobe fan on Strategy Wiki, so you would have the best input.

Yes, I own Pokémon Diamond and am currently ready to set out for the Elite FOur. Why do you ask? Sincerely, [[User:Myth|Myth]] 22:44, 1 June 2007 (CDT)

:The answer to your first question is yes, I would love to help with any part I can. As for the second part, what's an FC?? Sincerely, [[User:Myth|Myth]] 01:18, 3 June 2007 (CDT)

::Okay, I apologize for being ''really'' dumb, but what is a friend code? is it for Wi-Fi? Sincerely, [[User:Myth|Myth]] 19:48, 3 June 2007 (CDT)

:::The answer to your first question is yes, I do have the Pal Pad. Unfortunately, I do not have a Wi-Fi connector, and do not plan on getting one soon. Therefore, I do not have a Friend Code. And the answer to your second question is I have two other Wi-Fi compatible games, Spectrobes and Custom Robo Arena. Sincerely, [[User:Myth|Myth]] 20:47, 3 June 2007 (CDT)

==Your contributions==
Thank you very much for your contributions to Pokémon Diamond and Pearl! However, I would like to tell you why I deleted the Dive Ball from the list. I did this because, unlike Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, there is no HM for Dive, so therefore there is no Dive Ball. But thank you for all contributions you have made on the article and any others you have done. I also noticed on your User Page that you worked on Spectrobes and are working to fill in the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Strategy Guide. These are both things I have done and am doing, so I hope we can work together to complete The Pokémon DP Guide. Thanks again! [[User:Myth|Myth]] 23:34, 3 June 2007 (CDT)

==Pokémon Emerald cheats==
I would recommend putting those cheats on the pages with the other guides, and just noting that they are Emerald only.  That way it doesn't break with the standard "everything on the ToC". -- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|Talk]]) 21:01, 4 June 2007 (CDT)

==Dive Ball?==
I've beaten the game, and I've never even heard mention of a Dive Ball, much less gotten one myself. I've also done everything (at least, I ''thought'' I had) in Solacean Town. I'll go through the whole town today to find one. But thanks for the note. Feel free to re-add it. --[[User:Myth|Myth]] 10:57, 5 June 2007 (CDT)

:Hey, Lunar Knight. I just gave the reporters in Solacean the Pokémon they asked for, and they gave me three Heal Balls. I assume, then, that it's possible to get Dive Balls from them. --[[User:Myth|Myth]] 15:19, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

==Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Completion Stage==
== forum registration issues ==
I noticed, Lunar Knight, that you changed PMD back to Completion stage 0 after I bumped it up to 1. I disagree with this, as the guide qualifies for that Stage. Remember, ''The following guides are severely lacking in content, and some exist mainly as place holders. Please help expand them!'' I'd say that this guide is severely lacking in content, but it ''doesn't'' exist as a holder, so therefore it should definitely pass as completion stage 1. Just thought I'd let you know. Hey, I've got Pokémon Pearl version, what's your friend code?  I'll add you if you like, mine is: 4983-2098-9980.  I currently have a box full of (level 1) Piplups that I don't really have any use for - interested in adopting one?  I'm currently looking for a Cherrim and a Turtwig if you have one or both of those. :-P  See ya around! --[[User:Froglet|Froglet]] 06:34, 10 July 2007 (CDT)
::Yup, it's kind of hard not to love such a perfect game. --{{User:Notmyhandle/Sig}} 03:19, 25 June 2008 (CDT)
: You can scratch the Turtwig, I was looking for a male one to breed with a female one I got off my sister who decided to restart her Diamond version, so now I have a lot of little Turtwigs (damn I love the GTS)!  They are all so cute :-P.  I just completed that most consistantly annoying of dungeons, Victory Road, although I'm far from even bothering to attempt the 1337 4 (I managed to get through with an EV trained, level 43 Gyrados and a pretty weak Emploeon called Fluffy, along with my HM slaves :-P ).--[[User:Froglet|Froglet]] 21:57, 11 July 2007 (CDT)

Hey LK.  Prod is the ToC master, he does a much better job of arranging that stuff than I.  The ToC looks fine in general to me, and if he approves of your edits, then you're golden. My only suggestions would be to merge all of the Alt-forms into one page, put that page under "Multiplayer, Basics", and move the list of Hunters to directly below the Basics list, which would collapse the length of the ToC a little bit and fill in some of the white space. [[User:Procyon|Procyon]] ([[User talk:Procyon|Talk]]) 15:05, 5 July 2008 (CDT)
:I would actually say merge the alt forms to the hunters pages.  Since morph ball is samus' alt, i'm assuming that they can change back and forth between them so it makes sense to have both strategies together.  As Procyon said, if you can get rid of the alt forms column, you can get rid of the whole bottom row.  Are the different modes multiplayer specific, or are there multiple single player modes? -- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|Talk]]) 20:15, 5 July 2008 (CDT)
::Yeah, I thought of that earlier. It didn't make much sense to merge all the alt form info into one page because the hunters had their separate pages, it would make a lot more sense to move all the alt form info onto the hunter pages. The game modes are multi-player specific. [[User:0-172|Lunar Knight]] ([[User talk:0-172|Talk to me]] + [[Special:Contributions/0-172|Contribs]]) 20:19, 5 July 2008 (CDT)

If you have any questions about how to ''test'' the wikimarkup, then just  '''be bold''' and do it yourself [[Strategywiki:Sandbox|here]], contact [[StrategyWiki:Administrators|a sysop]] through their talk page or post on [[StrategyWiki:Staff lounge|the staff lounge]], and they'd be happy to help rectify the damage if you can't fix it. If need to give some help then check out the [[StrategyWiki:Staff lounge|staff lounge]]. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're [http://strategywiki.org usually editing], just post on our talk pages. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the [[StrategyWiki talk:Community Portal|community portal talk]] page so we can start a flame war. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages by clicking [[Image:Wikisigbutton.png]] Which is a lot harder than using four tildes ('''<nowiki>~~</nowiki><nowiki>~~</nowiki>'''); this will automatically produce your name, the date and possibly a sigexpand code or an image. Remember to customise your sig so it uses custom [[User:Ryan Schmidt/BlueCloud.css|css]]. Finally, please do your best to '''always fill in the edit summary field''' as this helps to document all of your excellent work (unless you're a bot then life kinda sucks... but then, I doubt you are one). Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you must (hint: I will hunt your soul down if you do), or keep it for references that you don't really need. Happy editing and welcome back! Bots[edit]

Check out WP:WP:AWB. It's a fairly easy to use/set up bot. I mainly use its find/replace features so you'll need to learn a bit out that stuff (and be very careful with it ;)). -- Prod (Talk) 00:52, 26 September 2007 (CDT)

What exactly does that have to do with bots? Lunar Knight (Talk to me + Contribs) 17:55, 26 September 2007 (CDT)
What do you want your bot to do? If it's things like automatically moving a bunch of pages from one category to another, it's a matter of finding the category text and replacing it with the new category. Similarly, spell checks/formatting checks all require find/replacements. -- Prod (Talk) 19:39, 26 September 2007 (CDT)
I want my bot to categorize images. Lunar Knight (Talk to me + Contribs) 17:37, 30 September 2007 (CDT)

Cleanup project members[edit]

As part of our ongoing cleanup project, we are transitioning to a category based membership scheme for the StrategyWiki:Cleanup project. The member listing at the bottom of the page has been removed so if you would like to rejoin the project, please add Category:Cleanup project members to your user page. -- Prod (Talk) 13:05, 12 October 2007 (CDT)

Recruiting[edit]

I suggest you hunt down some forums for the games you're working on to find interested help. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 19:14, 27 February 2008 (CST)

I've already tried on Neoseeker, I have a few people, but they won't be around until the summer. I have yet to make any sort of recruitment attempt at Gamespot/Gamefaqs, I see about doing that. Lunar Knight (Talk to me + Contribs) 10:34, 29 February 2008 (CST)

forum registration issues[edit]

There is a thread on this at the staff lounge, although if that doesn't help, try asking echelon on his talk page. --Skizzerz (talk · contribs) 16:59, 30 March 2008 (CDT)

Ech was trying to fix it last night. Have you tried again today? -- Prod (Talk) 14:21, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
Yeah, I tried it earlier and to no success. Lunar Knight (Talk to me + Contribs) 15:04, 6 April 2008 (CDT)

Good to see you alive[edit]

As gamers, it's quite easy to fall out of communities as we get addicted to the games we love... ahahaha. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 19:50, 22 June 2008 (CDT)

Yeah, I really need to get back to contributing, I have a lot of work to get out of the way. One problem: I just discovered the awesomeness of Starcraft. It may be awhile... ;-) Lunar Knight (Talk to me + Contribs) 17:04, 23 June 2008 (CDT)
Yup, it's kind of hard not to love such a perfect game. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 03:19, 25 June 2008 (CDT)

Procyon (Talk) 15:05, 5 July 2008 (CDT)

I would actually say merge the alt forms to the hunters pages. -- Prod (Talk) 20:15, 5 July 2008 (CDT)
Yeah, I thought of that earlier. It didn't make much sense to merge all the alt form info into one page because the hunters had their separate pages, it would make a lot more sense to move all the alt form info onto the hunter pages. The game modes are multi-player specific. Lunar Knight (Talk to me + Contribs) 20:19, 5 July 2008 (CDT)

Banning[edit]

Over here, we haven't really discussed a banning policy, but we're trying to attract visitors. I'd prefer we just ban malicious vandals as long as it takes for them to forget about the site (week should be long enough). -- Prod (Talk) 16:45, 5 July 2008 (CDT)

Got it. ;-) Lunar Knight (Talk to me + Contribs) 17:59, 5 July 2008 (CDT)
