if i am lvl 30 but chose not to advance my job yet, and i go to lvl 31, will i still get skill points for the first job advancement?  If so, then that means you could max out all of your first job skills.

Thanks for your comment, I've been a contributer to gamefaqs for a while (so don't flag my contributions up as copyvios, I made them), but this seems like a much better idea. I'll try and expand/format them better when I get the chance. Thanks! [[User:Alexj2002|Alexj2002]] 15:30, 28 January 2007 (CST)

X-Plane

hello there,

First of all, bear with me as this is my first effort at putting some info on a page of this sort, i.e. a wiki. Most notable to me of your comments was that X-Plane may not be a game after all. I (and some more vociferous members of the community !) would agree, it is more accurately described as a flight simulation. It does have some online interactive capability but it is not a game in the sense of competition or score keeping, etc. I belive that when this wiki was first set up in was not here in the strategy wiki area; it got moved here sometime back by someone on the wiki side of things ? Is there a more appropriate place for this ? I expect that as I grow more familiar with this wiki business I will take more advantage of formatting, etc. At the moment I think you are telling me that identifying myself and perhaps x-plane.org is inappropriate ? An instructional/tutorial piece is what I am trying to get to eventually... thanks..

thanks for the feedback, prod. I would be interested in being kept up to date on where this page might end up. I do agree that the move to strategy wiki was probably not appropriate. Twgin 21:19, 5 January 2007 (CST)

MapleStory Icon Filenames

MapleStory/Towns#Icons

I was wondering if we should change the filenames for the icons to the official filenames from the data.wz. I would have done it, but I don't know how to change the filenames without uploading a new icon/file all together. -- Takiten 22:55, 14 January 2007 (CST)

Well on several sites that extract the data for the data.wz, they were able to unencrypt the filenames for the minimap icons too.
In GlobalMS and JapanMS, the minimap names are: Amherst.png AquaRoad.png Dungeon.png ElNath.png ElNathDungeon.png Ellinia.png Folkvillige.png Guild.png Henesys.png KerningCity.png Leafre.png LudiTower1.png Ludibrium.png MushroomVillage.png OmegaSector.png Orbis.png PcZone.png Perion.png Rith.png SouthPerry.png TestServer.png Wedding.png jipangu.png shouwa.png
Wedding.png is only in GlobalMS, Leafre.png, jipangu.png, and shouwa.png are only in JapanMS, and Village is spelled wrong in Folkvillige.png.
I believe that even in KoreaMS, that all the filenames would be exactly the same. Looks like a pretty good way to find out the english names of future towns. Notice Leafre.png for example.
I haven't the slightest idea what the Shanghai, YuYuanGarden, XiMenDing, and Night Market icons filenames are, since I don't have access to any extracted data from ChinaMS or TaiwanMS. As far as I know, KoreaMS and JapanMS don't use minimap icons for Shanghai, XiMenDing, or Night Market, so I don't know if they would be in KoreaMS or JapanMS current versions data or not. And obviously, I don't know the filenames for Mureung or Hundred Grass/White Herb either. KoreaMS and ThailandMS didn't make a icon for Thai Floating Market or Coca-Cola Town either so I don't think any versions has one for either. -- Takiten 15:47, 16 January 2007 (CST)

Community portal

I took a look at the Community issues section and when you archived things, it seems you've missed some things. 0-172 (Talk) 20:51, 20 January 2007 (CST)

Table of Contents

Thanks for adding table of contents to the pages I created. I'll try not to kepp forgetting them.--Wittj 15:19, 20 January 2007 (CST)

Re: Paper Mario

The names on the table of contents are the official names of the chapters. I guess I can move the pages to more official title. Besides, they were like that when I began editing the guide.--Wittj 19:42, 20 January 2007 (CST)

Ban Jaffsong immediately

This user has a pornographic link on the Smash Bros. Melee page. --Antaios 17:48, 22 January 2007 (CST)

Image server

We had a DNS screw up earlier and it's preventing some people from seeing the images. Due to DNS propagation it should fix itself eventually, however since it seems you're busy editing stuff I've changed it back to an IP. I'll try the subdomain again tomorrow.--Dan 20:36, 22 January 2007 (CST)

It's funny because User:Procyon and I were just talking about that right now. Anyway, the reason why I'm not an admin is because I'm just beginning to frequent SW. User:DrBob will be the one to give me admin privilege (because I'm just too lazy to do it in the database manually :P)--Dan 20:49, 22 January 2007 (CST)

Break time for TREEHEMOTH

After creating the Codename: Kids Next Door: Operation V.I.D.E.O.G.A.M.E. enemy list, I decided to take a break for the time being, then I can get back to creating that article for you.

The Article TREEHEMOTH is referring to

The Kids Next Door Operation VIDEOGAME Enemy List. I knew the guys that were busy with the Operation V.I.D.E.O.G.A.M.E. article were forgetting something.

Re: cat cleanup

It's not that many, I'm almost done now. GarrettTalk 15:35, 26 January 2007 (CST)

Final Fantasy

Fancy giving me a hand merging this beast in? :-P --DrBob (Talk) 12:08, 27 January 2007 (CST)

Yeah, I've continually put it off, but I'm bored, and so I thought I might as well start poking it a pit. --DrBob (Talk) 12:17, 27 January 2007 (CST)

Game images

Maybe we can throw the game logo somewhere in the nav.--Dan 23:07, 27 January 2007 (CST)

Well it certainly can be done. I just don't know how to do it myself. :P--Dan 23:20, 27 January 2007 (CST)

Yoshi_64
