*Thank you! I finished the game a while back, so it's mostly a matter of replaying the game and writing about it now. This is my first time writing a guide though, so it's taking a bit of time. Still, I'm thinking that it will be a solid guide in a month or two. Any tricks of the trade you'd like to share?--Salnax (talk) 19:35, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

Welcome to StrategyWiki!

Hello Salnax! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide or visit the IRC channel to chat, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums. To keep up-to-date with the goings on of the wiki, consider adding the noticeboard to your watchlist.

Please remember to sign your name when leaving comments on talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! — najzereT 13:17, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

Guidance

Hi Salnax. Thanks for your inquiry, we're really glad to have you aboard. If you look on the Main Page, there's a projects box with three ongoing projects that we have, namely the cleanup project, the move lists project, and the Achievements project. Also, ordinarily we have a collaboration of the month, but one hasn't been assigned for April yet, so that still needs to be selected. But to be honest, I'm really grateful for your contributions to Pokémon Black and White, and especially to Kid Icarus: Uprising. We always appreciate users who can provide information on the most recently released games. Basically, write about whatever you're most passionate about. If there's any other help that I can provide, feel free to drop me another message. Procyon 03:05, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Hey Salnax. Don't be discouraged by the lack of images, you're doing a great job with the text, and that's the hard part. In order to find art, one place to check would be Nintendo's official Kid Icarus website. Another place to check would be the Japanese version, since they sometimes use different artwork. As for getting screenshots of a DS game, that can be a challenge. You either have to scour sites like IGN or Gamespot in order to find their reviews and "borrow" their images (although we don't really want images watermarked with their logos, but if that's all you can find, so be it.) If you have a cell phone with a good camera, you might be able to take good photos of your 3DS screen. Another option is emulators, but since I haven't heard of the 3DS being emulated yet, that's not an option. The best way to start your search is to just put Kid Icarus Uprising into Google and check the images section. Good luck. Procyon 03:22, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

Image categorization

Hi Salnax! Great work on the images. If you wouldn't mind, please don't forget to add to all of the KI:U images you add to the site. That way, one can see just the images which pertain to the guide. Thanks very much, and keep up the good work. Procyon 01:35, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

Weapon fusion

It seems this system applies to the fusions I have, it seems valid. There are other sources like http://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/60824/what-determines-what-type-of-weapon-will-be-produced-through-a-weapon-fusion, that also reference the japanese wiki http://shinparu.wiki.fc2.com/wiki/融合?sid=6a75cde6c50696f3e95907e65e5d959d - that seems to be the original source. The answer in stackexchange is extremely good, I think I should copy that. The user-submitted content in the Stackexchanges has to licensed as sharealike CC, like here in the Strategy-Wiki, so I think it should be possible to copy that, if it is right attributed and the source linked. What do you think? -- Mnementh 18:17, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

StackExchange is CC-BY-SA 3.0, which is the same as us. Attribute the site/users in the edit description, and it should be fine from a legal perspective (unless they got it from somewhere else...). -- Prod (Talk) 00:41, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Icaruspedia images

Can you add a link to the original webpage where you got the images from, rather than just the note? That way we can keep track of the contributors on that site as well. -- Prod (Talk) 00:44, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

KIU AR cards?

Hi Salnax. Would you happen to know of any good sources for scans of the AR cards? I would love to have pictures of the cards up on the site. I'm gonna go look for some, but if you happen to know of any, please let me know. Thanks! Procyon 21:04, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

Finals

Good luck! -- Prod (Talk) 00:37, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Welcome back :) Glad you survived! Procyon 00:22, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
