[edit] Hitman: Codename 47

This game introduces players to Agent 47, as he takes on missions for money.

[edit] Hitman 2: Silent Assassin

The game expands upon Codename 47. With a personal story and improved artificial intelligence, this game got a higher praise than Hitman: Codename 47.

[edit] Hitman: Contracts

This game is a sequel to Hitman 2, but also takes place after a mission in Hitman: Blood Money. It remade some missions from Codename 47. It did expand upon gameplay slightly with new weapons and actions like poisoning food. Contracts was not a well praised as other entries to the Himan series but it was still liked. This is because some thought it was more of the same, but with better graphics.

[edit] Hitman: Blood Money

A sequel to Contracts. It is told through a FBI director telling how he tracked down Agent 47. Gameplay was improved with additions like hand-to-hand combat. Running no longer raised suspicion. This game received very positive reviews, with the level design and improved combat and artificial intelligence.
