Intermission 7.5[edit]

After beating BombMan.EXE

SharkMan.EXE[edit]

SharkMan.EXE is one of the most difficult opponents in Mega Man Battle Network.

An effective way to defeat him is to use a single-code folder with five ElecMan3 E chips and any 25 other E-code chips.

MegaMan.EXE will have to just dodge SharkMan.EXE's attacks and attack using ElecMan3 only. ElecMan3 deals 300 HP worth of homing damage to SharkMan.EXE, even when the latter is hidden under a fin, therefore three ElecMan3 attacks will grant MegaMan an easy victory. Every other chip does not have to be used, just select all of them so that next turn you get five new ones, with higher chances to get more ElecMan3 chips.

With some luck, it is possible to get three ElecMan3 chips at the beginning of the battle, thus SharkMan.EXE will be defeated in less than 2 seconds.

If you don't want to "waste" 25 chips in the folder, another strategy can be to copy SharkMan.EXE and use drones. Remobit2 E (200 damages), Lockon2 E (rapid fire for more than 150 damages) and Snakegg2 E (240 damages) will perform support attacks independent from MegaMan.EXE, although ElecMan3 E should always be the main one. The increased number of sprites on screen can be a bit confusing for the human player, though. Remember that MegaMan.EXE can only have one single drone on screen at the same time, i.e. either one Snakegg or one Remobit or one Lockon; whenever a new drone is created, the previous one is deleted.
