Timing[edit]

On one of the pages (can't remember which) it said something about a bar and when it turns blue the time is up for nominating a guide. Where is the bar? And also how long does each guide have? --Melon247, The Dog's Life Expert 11:57, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

I think it's the bar on the nomination page which says "Nominated on…". The (currently green) cell to the left of it reflects opinion on the nomination (i.e. green for support, red for non-support). --DrBob (talk) 13:05, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

What does it mean by 'blue and beyond' because it's a very light blue at the moment but I don't know what 'beyond' is supposed to be. Does the nomination take about four months or something like that? --Melon247, The Dog's Life Expert 18:27, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

See Template:VFG/Time for a table of all of the colors it can take. Anyway, that page is saying that if it is inactive and has been sitting there for that time, then it should probably be closed. There really isn't a time limit for an open request, it's just once we feel everyone has enough time to voice their opinion and a sysop has enough time to go through all the necessary steps to promote it. --Skizzerz 21:57, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Maybe we should ask the users currently in undecided to take another look at the guide. If it's good enough now to move you, Skiz, to support, there's a big chance they might see the better side this time. --Melon247, The Dog's Life Expert 18:42, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

I'd clean up the controls some...you know, put 'em in a table, like here and here and here. --Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 18:48, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Arrow, what did you mean when you said that you were still iffy on the tone of the guide? It might have been cleared up now (like I think you said) but I don't know because I don't know what you meant --Melon247, The Dog's Life Expert 13:45, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
