Official guide[edit]

I mentioned the number of weapons in the Brady guide, because it is the official guide for Dead rising, before I got this guide, this page listed, erroneously, 250 weapons.

The actual official number, according to the official guide is 141.

Hope this answers your question. Travb 15:05, 19 July 2008 (CDT)

Just because the brady guide says something doesn't mean it's right. Either way, we are not trying to copy them, we're building our own guides; so whatever number is arrived at here doesn't have to match the number they have. I'm also not too sure what that "official" title means. The guides are made by a 3rd part publisher, and they probably just pay to say they're the "official" guide. -- Prod (Talk) 15:39, 19 July 2008 (CDT)
It lends a sense of authority to this site when we refernce official guides, etc. Coming from wikipedia, I am a huge believer in citing everything. Travb 10:18, 21 July 2008 (CDT)
I am also from wikipedia (initially) and do like the benefits of citations. However, there is so little in a walkthrough that can be cited, it's not really worth citing anything unless it's controversial. My personal feeling is that it isn't required and that you saying it is so is good enough. But I'd prefer if others weighed in on the issue. -- Prod (Talk) 01:01, 22 July 2008 (CDT)

I moved the notes in here because readers don't need to know what some other guide has to say. - najzereT 21:22, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
