Part 1[edit]

Trojan Stage4-1.png
  • Immediately, two Skyrogyros appear from either side of the screen while Smashers approach you. Proceed carefully to the right, and you will begin walking under a ceiling. Watch out for the mines that line the floor along the way. Jump over them.
  • Continue to the right until you see the "OPEN" sign at the end of the hallway. Jump up to hit it. A Slasher may appear on your return trip to the left. Defeat it, and use the jump tile to jump through the open hole between the two floors.

Boss[edit]

Trojan Stage4-1 Boss.png
  • When you jump up to the top floor, you will be confronted by a second Iron Arm. He is much more difficult to take out than the first one because his reaction time seems to be a lot better.
  • After you defeat Iron Arm, you must drop down to the bottom floor and proceed to the right again to find another open sign. Watch out for the Manhole Archer that appears from below.
  • Jump up to the second floor again to fight a second boss, a pair of Mamushis. They are no more difficult than before.

Part 2[edit]

Trojan Stage4-2.png
  • As you begin this section, you must push an "OPEN" sign on the top floor in order to open the hole in the floor and gain access to the bottom floor. If you happen to die before you drop down, you will actually continue from the floor below you fight with the Mamushis, but you will not be required to fight them again.
  • Watch out for more mines along the bottom floor, and the Smashers and Slashers that appear from either side. When you start walking beneath the second section above you, two things will appear; a flying Heart which will restore four lost life points, and an Armadillon.
  • You must push the "OPEN" sign at the end of the hallway, but you are not required to fight the Armadillon. As long as he does not get in your way, you can jump over him and proceed without dealing directly with him.
  • When you jump up to the second floor, watch out for more mines along the floor, and more Smashers and Slashers coming from either direction.

Boss[edit]

Trojan Stage4-2 Boss.png

The boss of this stage is a second Goblin. However, he is not any different, or any more difficult than the one you fought against at the end of stage 2. Use the same strategy of remaining on one half of the screen to defeat him with ease.

NES differences[edit]

Part 1[edit]

Trojan Stage4-1 NES.png
  • There are no Skyrogyros on this stage, and the "OPEN" signs are replaced by flashing keys.
  • Before the first key is a manhole that you can drop down. Head inside and fight the lone Mamushi to find the all important second power increase along the left side close to the ceiling. There is also not one, but two flying hearts to discover, and the only other power-up in the game, the speed increase, which doubles your walking speed until you lose a life, or complete the stage. The speed increase is located in the middle of the room, close to the floor (below the center flying heart).
  • There is no mid-section boss. Continue along the top floor and drop down in front of a second manhole. You must visit this manhole to find the key to the next door. Striking any of the pods will usually reveal a mouse or bats. However, if you reveal any of the three mice hidden along the bottom of the left outcropping and then hit a pod, you are more likely to discover a 1up (extra life).
  • The only boss at the end of this section is an Iron Arm.

Part 2[edit]

Trojan Stage4-2 NES.png
  • Rather than mines appearing on the floor, the explosives from the previous stage will roll onto the bottom floor.
  • The fight with Armadillon is mandatory since he is the one holding the key to the trap door to the floor above. Defeat him to collect the key and advance to the boss fight with Goblin.
