Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello Marenostrumad! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the community portal talk page. Please remember to sign your name on, and only on, talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! -- Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 03:58, 23 February 2008 (CST)

Heroes 3[edit]

For the individual campaign scenarios, would you agree that it would be best to make a separate page for each of them (considering the size of maps and the amount of varying strategy within each?)? Thanks, --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 04:51, 23 February 2008 (CST)

I think creating a page for each scenario would result in lots of webpages (not too user friendly). Should be better: one campaign <=> one page; one scenario <=> one section of page. (13:00, 23 february 2008).

Alright. For now we'll leave it like that. If things get too crowded I'll subpage them. By the way, when posting a message, don't forget to sign it correctly by using ~~~~ (you can press the little blue square above the text box that looks like this: http://strategywiki.org/w/skins/common/images/button_sig.png). Thanks, --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 05:16, 23 February 2008 (CST)

Creating A New Page[edit]

When creating a new page, you can make things easier by clicking one of the large boxes above the text box. They look like the following: StrategyWiki Template Page Buttons.jpg

If you click on "Guide page" it will automatically fill in the required header and footer navs for the page. Thanks, --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 05:30, 23 February 2008 (CST)

/* Cutthroats */ cleanup[edit]

Taken care of, thanks for the pointer. -- Prod (Talk) 11:07, 29 June 2008 (CDT)

Multiple edits[edit]

I know if I don't say something, someone else will, so: please try to congregate small edits into one larger one. Why? It keeps the logs clean, and reduces the amount of time other people have to spend reviewing edits (and watching pages load). If you're worried about losing an edit, just copy the contents into notepad or something. We would all appreciate it if you'd try and do this from now on. Also, if you aren't in the habit of doing so already, preview your work before you submit it in case you want to revise it a little more (or maybe something will catch your eye). --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 08:20, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

OK, I already thought about it. You're right. I will try to do so in the future. --Marenostrumad 08:23, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Image categorisation[edit]

When uploading images, please make sure to categorise them using the correct image categories and the guide-specific category, i.e. [[Category:Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Shadow of Death images]]. The image policy is viewable here, and contains all the information you'll need to categorise future uploads. --najzereT 21:10, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Neutral point of view[edit]

Guides are open for anyone to edit, and to accomodate multiple authors we've decided to use a neutral point of view, meaning content should be written in the third person, with no opinions and a somewhat professional tone. Please keep this in mind as you're editing, and try to avoid words like "I" or "we", or use of slang or non-factual information. Thanks for helping us keep our guide pages polished! — najzereT 19:28, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
