| Act 1 takes place in the Middle East, Morocco, to be exact. Snake has been ordered to take out Liquid to stop him from hactching his plan, but he must first make contact with a U.S. Army recon team, RAT PT 01(Rat Patrol Team 01), to assertaine Liquid's location. Along the way, he must deal with the war between the Praying Mantis PMC Soldiers and City Militiamen.
