After the fight, you find yourself on an empty clearing, talking to Yuffie, who wants to fight again. Do not use the save point on the screen, that will not help you at all. You need to pick the correct dialogue choices basically on instinct and trial and error, and if you fail, do not worry, just find the Mystery Ninja again in the woods and you'll get to try again.
